.daff, brighten a corner of the page with her favourite colour.

One thing when S started 'big' school was she was nervous of asking when she wanted to go to the loo, and her Mum found out that to get to the loo she had to pass through a class of bigger children. The teacher sorted it by getting a friend to go with her when she went. When they are at nursery and play school all the children are quite little, when they are at 'big' school there are lots of what must seem huge (6/7 year olds) to them children. they are moving out of their comfort zone, hopefully she will be fine soon.

I have seen the cuttlebug a few times, but can't really figure out how to use it, lol... I have come to the conclusion that part of the scrapping enjoyment is about making things, for me.... I love all the embellishments you can buy, but I also love making my own... I am sure I shall get better at it, eventually.... a bit rough and ready at the moment>

I have finished the two-page spread, apart from 1 little thing... but need to wait for glue to dry... it is a bit overkill, but I love it!!

I have started on another page for my older granddaughter's first day at school a couple of weeks ago.... she looked so fearful and sorry for herself and her school uniform is so dull (blue and grey) that *bright and cheerful* looks very wrong with it... I have gone with colours I know tone beautifully... but I find them rather sombre, which makes me want to weep for a poor, frightened little girl. It would seem she still has a little cry every day... which is strange, as she loved nursery and pre-school, and already has lots of friends from those days in the same class... and her **god sister* who she is very close to, is in the same school, and a couple of years older...... anyway... it doesn't *feel* right.

Maybe I'll do last years' Halloween one first..... Hmmmm..... glitter again!! ;¬))

I tried the folder using mirri card Ann and the result was really effective. I have managed to get 4 toppers out of each of the A4 card.

We are off to Anglesey tomorrow for the week and I have already googled craft shops around the area lol.

Makes a note...stay away from Daff when glue and glitter are involved lolol.

I finally finished my first family history scrapbook and I am now looking forward to starting the next however I now need to stock up my stash.

I have bought a Christmas tree folder for the cuttlebug to attempt making some Christmas cards...another first for me!

Not enough hours in the day lol.

Seems like you are more of a 'real' scrapper than I am Daff. I am a bit lazy where titles and embellishments are concerned.

MrDaff Report 1 Oct 2009 09:20

Morning Ann............*finishing off* took longer than anticipated yesterday.... I will be doing that now... but I have hand made all the embellishments... I think it might be overkill, but hey... the effect is supposed to be *hiding in the garden* lol!! I have even hand made the title letters..... I think I must really be five at heart, lolol

See you all later.

I have almost finished my double page spread... I did a lot of practicing first, lol... today, they had loads of ribbon in Hobbycraft the right colour, and the loveliest glitters.... I love glitter, lol... So nearly there now... I'll send you a photo, Ann... I also have enough now to finish M's first day at school, and her Halloween one from last year... the photo is so lovely that I just have to use it....

I am very slow at this... but am playing in the garden and with my tree... and settling down to having B home again.....!

Anyone crafting out there? I have several layouts lined up to do but Christmas cards are taking precedence at the moment. Made 8 today so did quite well, quite simple ones though.

I've got the scrapping bug back!

I've completed four LOs in the last two days as well as a couple more during the week and I've got an idea that might work for my christmas cards. Anything to avoid finishing the mini book I started of our New Forest holiday last september LOL

Ann, the difference between Pyramage and Decoupage is that Pyramage has straight edges and is built upwards( think pyramids) so that the last piece is just a small section of the picture where as decoupage is cutting out the differents shapes of the picture and layering up that way.

edit to say. On youtube if you put in card making pyramage there are some videos to watch.

Don't know if that explains it but I know what I mean lol
