I want to scrap my photos of the full moon and Mars... it was so special it just took my breath away.... and I am just not sure how to start..... the photo has the ghostly skeletal branches of the trees in the forefront, and I love the effect... so want to keep that in somewhere... not now though... must get on with swearing at the cobwebs in my bedroom, lolol

Love

Managed 4 pages at home on sunday once I'd had a sulk about my crop being cancelled. Feeling under the weather today, hate it when it's wet and miserable so am going to sit and push pieces of paper around see if that cheers me up

Dizzi, now you have started there is no stopping you. The tree with circle shapes sound great, draw a tree trunk free hand on card and cut it out.

Jan you are enjoying this aren't you?

Can I suggest that if anyone is interested in the tips on here that they copy and paste them into word or similar. Don't forget the previous thread disappeared.

Oh I would have known that Jan because that is how we used to fix photos in albums, I didn't realise you were doing it differently and couldn't think why it was difficult!!!!

Scatty

Scatty Report 31 Jan 2010 22:31

ohhhhh doh!!!!
just googled and found this
The corners of the photograph are slipped into the triangular pockets which are then secured to the album page

I was doing what it said on the box which said position in photo album then add the photo!!

Scatty Report 31 Jan 2010 22:28

ohhhh thanks Von :-))

Oh Ann to be honest Im really pleased with the how it looks in the album now but it was just soooo damn fiddly - I was obvioulsy missing something along the way.
When I was visiting daughter we went to there Te*co supermarket it was a huge store but I found lots of craft type things in there some lovely stickers on bogof some really lovely papers and various odds n sods -needless to say I stocked up a bit and even got a nice little flower punch for £2.50 -(there were loads of diff sorts)
I took lots more photos for me albums and got a copy of babys foot print and birth cert :-))))))

Hi
I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before but you can age paper by painting or spongeing a piece of computer paper with cold tea.
As an extra touch you can also burn the edges in a candle flame.
Make sure you have a bowl of water nearby to dip the paper in so it doesn't burn away too much and for safetys sake.
Once the paper is dry you can screw it up into a ball then smooth it out with your hands or an iron. Paper is very forgiving and you can get some lovely effects.
Another interseting thread Ann.thank you
Von
