the open book card, in red is very nice. I would like to have a go at making one in that shape.

I keep saying that I will try the book cards but I don't get around to it. I think I have now lost the instructions. Will have to look.

The children's cards are for my Gt Gt nephews whose birthdays are within a week of each other.

The book one I made was done with the Bookatrix board made by 'The Glitter Girls', I have several of their embossing boards.

oh very lovely cards, you have all been so busy.

For myself, I cut material and have started to make a cot quilt.

all 5 inch squares, making up in the raggy edge type this time
colours pink and pale blues with white spots, stripes and small checks.
size is 7 squares by 8 squares.
not for anyone special in mind. just a type of quilting I wanted to try. hence the smaller project.

It sounds very pretty and delicate Moonbi. I look forward to seeing the finished project.

Thought l'd tell you what l've just done......
l looked on the Links section of my freecycle and found somewhere where l could add a message.......

l said how much l like arts/crafts but needed confidence, and how useless l am at measuring!! that there may be some area's where l could help others etc.....

Got a lovely reply this evening and have just emailed her back, heres hoping we can meet for coffee and help one another:)

Clever idea Jude. Not looked at freecycle for ages.

Just put 16 cards on the blog from Jean, nearly all christmas cards. NO NO I don't want to think about Christmas yet, not until after our holiday.
