It's a little difficult if you're taking action shots or photos that are unposed but if you are taking a posed photo then a tripod keeps the camera still.

Ann
Could you send me the photo blog address please?

Last time we bought a camera I insisted we bought one with a view finder as I find it easier to use. We have another one without but I can't get such good photos although I'm getting better and was trigger happy on our last trip.
Take care
Von

You have some wonderful photos on your photo blog Ann...I especially love the flower ones. Thank you for adding mine and for your kind comment...I am quite pleased how they turned out.

I love all the cards which have been added which brings me to a question please. Do any of you use promarkers if so which weight of cardstock do you use please. I bought a set not so long ago and I have tried using them on some white card stock I have however the promarkers bleed very heavily through the card. Now thinking about it do you stamp, colour and then matt on to a card ? My thanks for any help.

Yeah done a scrapbook page today...surprising what a week of heavy showers can produce lol.

Hi, Linda, I always test promarkers on various papers and cardstock before I use them, I also have other sorts of pens, dufex are very good I have just got whispers so will test them, cheaper card usually bleed ,
with promarkers I dont go right to the edge as sometimes the colour spreads out. the paper you put through a printer is good with promarkers, just going to have a peep at your photos,

I don't stamp very often Linda but when I do I stamp on spare card and mat it onto the main card. That way if it bleeds through the paper/card it can't be seen once stuck on.

Thanks Jean...I bought a job lot of clear unused stamps for a song from a carboot last year (how could I resist) and have never used them hence buying the Promarkers.

Thanks Ann...as I was reading my post back before sending I thought to myself you are having a senior moment here my girl lol.

Well, it takes about 45 minutes to get to but, yes we are lucky, normally in the past few years we have missed the shows (May and September) because we are in Tenerife so it made a nice change to go back to it, not cheap though £15 to get in each.

I love the photos Ann...that totem pole ? looks a bit scary though lol.

Thank you Ann and Jean for your comments....they have boosted my confidence no end.

Jean...I have an Olympus X-925. I just aim and click and hope for the best though I suppose it does have more modes (is that the technical word) that I don't know about lol.

Doing a scrap book page at the moment on the Steampunk theme. Saw it in the latest scrapbook magazine. Way out of my comfort zone so not sure how it will turn out.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 17 May 2011 16:35

Well I have finished it, not sure it sticks to the rules and very strange to do, not my usual sort of page at all. I have put it on the blog, see what you think. Personally i prefer 'pretty'.

JustGinnie

JustGinnie Report 17 May 2011 16:48

Unusual one Ann, I think I prefer pretty as well but I could see it working for some masculine pages. We have to try new things otherwise we would never know if we liked doing them or not. I have come to a stop at the moment with pages and cards but am hoping to get started again soon lol.
