I meant to ask before, does anyone know if it is possible to revitalise dryed ink pads, I have lots of Stazon and they dont seem to stamp properley. like I said I havent done any stamping for some time I stored them all upside down , wonder if it made any difference doing that....

I understood that was the way to store them Jean, but I do have the same problem. I can't believe everyone uses them all the time so there might be a way. Have you googled it?

A couple of your cards are on the blog.

I did buy a re inker for my black but apart from using Stazon for my acetate and shrink, I now avoid using it and stick to momento and archival .

Thanks Ann pk.

Would you not recommend Stazon Jill? I think one reason I don't do stamping is because I am soooo confused as to what ink to use when.

Which won't run when I colour in?
Which to use on acetate?
Why are there different inks anyway? Why are some piments and some dies?

See told you I was confused.

I seem to have loads of pigment inks and not many dies. Pigment is cheaper and you often find it on 'sale'. :-( :-S :-)

Hi, I did google it Ann and the solution seems to be using glycerine , but from hearing what the lady said on youtube its a messy job, I do have memento ones and they are o.k. never had ago at archival, but will I think I do like that sort of ink pad and versamark have a new one that is for detailed stamps I have the watermark one also a couple of other colours and some small ones which I find very useful especially if you are stamping words....
btw Ann I tried to add a comment on your blog and it wouldnt accept any of the security words, must have tried several times so gave up... what I wanted to say was thanks for your comments and the posiennta ( sp )stamp is on the tall card with the flourishes, the one on the blog is a large peel off that I colouredin....just made what I think may be the last batch of christmas cards, eight in all... I use most bits left on peel offs when they are used up, I do like Starfom peel offs , and use them often...
we had a leak in the downstairs loo, water everywhere, hard work mopping up, but our plumber came right away and it was a faulty pump so it all fixed now we are both shattered, so rest is neeeded.... lol....
love Jean xx well done Jill at selling your stock... :-0

I find that stazon is very sticky and not to be used on a lot of clear stamps. you can hear it sticking to the card when you lift the stamp off so never use it much. If you are using promarkers then go for momento not stazon. Momento for colouring in, stazon for acetate, pigment for embossing . Momento in fog gives a softer outline for colouring in.

Thanks Jill, that is nice and clear, that will be a great help. That is probably why I have so many pigment as I started stamping by doing a lot of embossing.

Had a reasonable journeybthanks Jean although traffic was horrendous and the tunnel t Beaminstr is still closed which meant a long stour. However the weather tidy was glorious and we have had a lovely day. I have some craft stuff with me and will do a bit when T goes off to play golf. Also hope to visit a craft shop I hope is still in Bridport. :-D

"Where are the crafters ?"

I'm here, but not crafting.

Before I went away north I packed all my craft things away, sewing machines and fabric.
That was so the painters could have access to those rooms. Now that I'm back I have avoided the temptation to unpack those things, but rather to get on with getting the house ready for sale.

Since my return Ive been painting the built- ins, varnishing the window sills and clearing away stuff to the op shop.

Next week my daughter will give me a day to help wash windows.
Later on we are going to hire a carpet cleaner.

Id love to get out my sewing machine again, but that will have to wait until another home, another time. but doesnt stop me browsing magazine to keep up with the trends ! :-)

I have been collecting so much 'put that to one side for me' stuff that either I use it or get rid. I'd like to do crackle paint on shoe boxes and I have some new skirting board leftovers. I would like to make some notices out of it. 'My Garden', 'Jill's Kitchen' and anything else I can do. Al and I were at a craft show a few weeks ago. The stuff on sale was good but samey and I want to be a bit different.

I've been watching YouTube for demos but I wonder if anyone on here has done it and has some ideas and tips for me. I'd like to think that I can combine it with other crafts and maybe sell some. Trouble is I am behind the times now with craft techniques and media. I've got lots of emulsion paints to play with and already have a bit tub of pva glue.

It's been so long since I've done any decent crafting that I am beginning to get very itchy. :-D

Thanks.xx

Stop it Jude! I've got quite enough UFOs (unfinished objects) already LOL

Lovely colours, would make a great cushion - or blanket - but I think I'd have most of the owls facing away. :-D
