Just checked that out and the book marks are cute too. But Jude, did you see the puppy ears card? I don't really have anyone to make it for but thought of your grandson, it is really lovely for a little one.

Oops, should of put tongue thingys :-D :-D
I buy paper mache frames then these can be painted with acrylics then stamped , embellished how ever you want, get 8 for about £9 and I think Hobby Craft do them as well.
Jean, just been cutting memory and cheery Lyn dies in Big shot and CB and no problems, I sometimes add an envelope as a shim and did buy the solo thin die adaptor which helps. Not tried my thick Tattered Floral die yet but will try it later and see how it cuts, it should be ok.
So far have made 8 cards this morning as need plenty for the weekend and about to cut some designs from Cardmaking Paradise as they always go well.

Jill, With the cuttlebug plates B have you ever tried reversing them as I have seen advised on line? They do buckle a lot so if they could be flattend a bit by reversing I might not have to get new ones yet.

JustJean Report 28 Aug 2012 16:18

YEEEEEEE love it, love it. I have cut all my dies, memory box, cheery lyn, sizzex, x cut, new tonic one, marrianne, spellbinders, and only had to turn one to cut again a cheery lynn , I also used greaseproof paper for the first time , works a treat, releases the dies easily and some of the bits fall out too....At first I tightened the handle too much and it was hard to turn , but its fine now... trying the embossing next , I cut out the middle of some fancy cards and it was great....well pleased... plates mark easily
but all the perspex ones do....so Jill you are off the hook....lol...if you get any more ideas please share them with us.....
love Jeanxxx :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Ann, I always reverse but do cut down the green self heal cutting mats and use them as well. With all the cutting I do for classes I do get through a lot. Once they really start to bend then its not long before they crack, I always keep spare good ones for embossing as otherwise you get extra marks you don't want. Plus always add a thin layer of card over some of my matting dies so they don.t have bits from the scratched B plate making a mess on them.
Jean, glad you love it . again try using some old green cutting mats as the top plate . I use tumble dryer sheets to rub over the dies before using.

:-)

What a good idea Jill, I have an old green one I can use, and I shall try the tumble dryer sheets...thank you....do you know if the large dies will go through the machine? I bought some ready cut very big die shapes and love them but I would rather have my own , I think they are the grand calibra ones...
I must say I am very pleased with it so far, pity it doesnt fold up to store away when not in use....I was pleasently surprised how easy the memory dies cut...
I can see I will never slow down as I intended to do...
love Jean xx.

Good morning to you all. I must really start with a few Christmas cards but have been so busy with everyday cards. Had a brilliant morning Saturday and my card stock now very depleted so trying to catch up as have another card request for a local shop.
There is a great demand for everything hand crafted on the Island and after all our years in France, its lovely to meet lots of crafty people. I still miss my groups in France but after only 8 months my crafting has taken off tenfold.
Ann, could you please send me your link to your craft blog as since moving and a different PC, I seem to be unable to find it.

x Jill

Jean well done for re-finding your stamping. The cards you sent look great I will ry and put a couple on the blog to see if it will still accept more. :-)
