Sadly I have run out of space on my craft blog apparently. So, until I can sort something out can't accept any more for the moment. I have to admit I had not realised that free blog space was limited, I am not prepared to pay a monthly fee to extend the memory I'm afraid.

I might see if it works if I go back and delete some of the very early ones.

Just a thought. What size are your photos? could you have used up memory with large files that way?

I'm not sure Island, don't think the craft photos are very big, and haven't noticed if it gives you a chance to downsize them. Will have to explore that possibility although it all sounds a bit technical Lol!

Ann, you would have to reduce them before posting on blogs, FB etc.
My camera is set at highest resolution so I have the option to crop quite a lot off the image without losing quality.
Uncropped they are usually in excess of 3MBs which is very large but reduce when cropped. If I want to keep the whole image I select 'compress'.
I edit my photos in Microsoft Office (for no other reason than I am used to it) From the toolbar select 'edit picture' (not just 'edit') New panel appears - select 'compress' then choose which medium you want, I find 'document' is a good size, not too small. Then you have to click 'ok' (?) and 'save'.
I always do a copy of the original to play with in case I 'save' too soon.

I hope this makes sense :-D You could always replace some of your photos with a smaller copy rather than delete them - if size is indeed the problem.

Thanks Island I edit my photos in Picasa. Once you have compressed the photos can re re-size them back up ? If not I would need to take a cope to compress. Yes I always crop the photos down, especially when people send me photos of craft things with a lot of surplus background.

Just checked a few of my own latest photos and the largest was 2.9MB

Well the photo blog seems OK so I can go on adding to that. Just the craft blog. Maybe I shall have to start a new one.

Sending this back to the top so that all those who do crafts know not to send any photos for the moment as the blog is full.

What a shame.......hope you can start another if the current one is full. :-(

Hi Ann and everyone just catchung up now the laptop is up and running again, so guess what i have been doing while its been away.... I managed a few cards , and did some christmas ones too....lol... well one has to get ahead of things dont you think....lol...very quiet on here I see that last post was in june, so what has every one been up to? any news on a new blog Ann, so I am now open for business all remarks gratefully recieved .

Hello Jean, good to see that you have gone 'live' again. No news on a new blog, haven't really had the time. Why don't you set one up? I am sure Jude would help you.

Thank you for the card bits and pieces, I was very pleased as I managed to make a card like yours. Just trying to get ideas for OH's now, trouble is, this wet weather curtails golf a bit so doesn't give me much time to make his.

AnnG...check your scrap book blog,l have just added the poem from SilverBuddy.
Also my puter neighbour was just here and he thinks maybe the photo's that are downloaded are too big hence maybe why you have no space left. My blog has been going for a few years and no problems, so maybe l use the right size (miracle if that is the case...lol)...l do sometimes use 'Microsoft Office picture manager' and go to edit where you can alter the size of photo's.

Thanks Jude, I wondered about the photos. Most of the photos on there are not mine though. I think Lynskis may be too big so I will try deleting them. My blog does have a lot of pages so I wasn't surprised that it was full.

OK I have deleted Lynski's original ones and added four of the ones she has reduced in size. The ones I have chosen are my favourites but if Lynski wants me to swap them and showcase others in their place I will. I have also put one of my cards on.

I guess there isn't a lot of space left but I will continue until it is full again. Perhaps if we can just send a couple or three of our best makes it will keep going for longer. I think I had something of Annx's somewhere I shall have to look. :-)
