Ooooh do you know what, I am all inspired again. :-)

I used to knit all the kids jumpers and cardis when they were little, I even adapted patterns to suit.

I made pram and cot covers, and backed them and put wadding in the middle and quilted them.

Now nothing. lol

I bought a beautiful cardigan for myself the other day. Hand crotcheted. Lovely for Summer.

I am throwing myself on your mercy here gels. Is there an instructional video somewhere to teach yourself crochet? I tried to do it from a book years ago. I ended it with knots.

Talk about monkey see, monkey do. I can copy someone if I see it, but the book just confused me.

Have just about recovered from the Big Stamping Exhibition at Ally Pally but it will take a while longer for my purse to recover!

Seeing Jean's cards inspired me to buy a Memory Box die - I got a floral circle - works beautifuly. I also got some embossing dies, couple of lovely paper stacks ...................and lots more.
Hope to show you some results soon.

Jean - I can't post on the blog but I especially like the pinky purple card with the flowers overlapping the edge, very effective.

No problem Pammy. I am trying to find out why some people can add and others are unable to. I don't know if it is to do with the way people register.

Jude
Just had a look at the links you gave.
Saving the crotchet ones for later else nothing else will get done today. :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 :-D :-D :-D :-D

I bought some silk sheets that you can print on and they are really nice and easy to do but as you say expensive.

I think you would be as well to buy a bottle of Bubble jet as it will give you more flexibility as you can then use any fabric.
Shame we don't live nearer each other we could have gone halfers on a bottle!!
I've also managed with some help from OH to print a piece that is 20cm wide by 56cm on an A4 printer by adjusting the settings.

We went to buy an ink cartridge on Saturday and the cheapest we could find was in W********ns.
Off to play in my studio now as we have another exhibition looming.
~~~~~~~~~ to everyone else
Take care
Von
I have just put some of Annettes blocks for her Field of dreams quilt on the craft blog.
Jude has had a senior moment (and then gone away until tomorrow) She has put some lovely photos of the Black mountains and Tintern on the craft blog which should ideally be on the photo blog. :-D
Thanks for sorting the photos Jude :-D
That looks a good course for what interests you. Not for me but with your interest in printing on fabric, needlework etc, great. Is it local to you?
Jude
I have done various courses over the years but I went to university in 1997 and did a part - time degree in Art and Design.
I graduated in 2002 and I specialised in textles although my final pieces were combined textiles and hand made paper.
Now I go once month and work with like minded people and although we all do our own thing we can discuss ideas and work which is the thing I miss about University.
The course sounds good and I look forward to seeing the results.
Incidently I looked at the instructions on the PhotoFabric and it says to hand wash so I think any fabric that you print on the printer will need hand washing.
Take care
Von
Von.....oo eck l hope l finish the course, l usually get me knickers in a twist at some stage, but having sister there may help. l want to do it, l really want to learn how to finish something.....LOL
Well done you for your uni and college courses:)
yesterday whilst in Aber sis and l were looking for wool, we popped into a very expensive wool shop and sittingin the window round a table were 3 ladies knitting away, drinking coffee and chatting, they looked so relaxed :)
Oh dear - Have just taken new sewing machine out of the box and am wondering what I was thinking of :-S
My old 40 ish year old Singer had forward/reverse, straight/zigzag, a bobbin and tension thingies. And the handle was part of the nice solid hard case.
This one has.........................loads of bits :-D. Started to read the leaflet but as my eyes glazed over I decided I need some caffeine!! Hopefully I will soon be stitching away :-)
