I think you may have the answer to your query re the die cuts as the cards are on the blog. I didn't put the die cuts photo on there, did you want me to, you didn't say.

Ann it doesnt matter about the die cuts pic, It was so you could see it, I just wondered if it got through to you, I have been on youtube and found some tutorials of the nib you add to promarkers, re my query on the blog ,I have sorted it now really needed a big push so they click on...
also there is some videos of the Memory Box die cie cuts...

Sorry Jean, I'll have a look, may have missed them. Not so easy to put them on the blog now as Picasa changed and I can't blog direct. I have to put the pics into my pictures first, a bit time consuming so it takes longer to get around to it. :-)

No Jean, it isn't a problem, just Picasa being a nuisance.

Would it be possible to use drop box. As a family we use this to share photos and is limited to us so you could limit the people using it.
Might be a way forward.

you ladies asked about the size of my quilt.
its 2 metres square.
it took me a month to cut and piece the top, ( the process is called strip piecing) and then it sat there over the summer waiting.

I recently had enough $ to buy the backing fabric, so it has taken the last 2 weeks to back it. 2 days ago I added the binding, which I find the easiest to do, and yesterday I washed it and line dried. as per the photo.

I dont do much handsewing, its mostly done on the industrial embroidery machine.

you mention patience, this one did indeed stretch my patience, and I had to keep reminding my self who it was for and why.
there was a day a couple of weeks ago where i had to unpick one corner 3 times. I was getting too lax with my pinning and so....xxx. a few nice little words came out the 3rd time.

any way its the best I can do. a woman who was sitting at the same table as me at craft told me about her DIL who has a business of quilting bigger tops, with a frame machine, so I think I will look into getting her to do the quilting of the next one if her prices arent too hot.

Today it will be given away to the chap I mentioned before. he will be able to sit in his armchair and read his maritime books or watch his documentaries, with it on his knee. and now that winter is on its way here, very cool nights lately, He should be happy.
