Thanks Annx and Pammy, the snowflakes are white so you can have any colour you want... I get them of a florist site, 100 for a couple of £.... I always look at those sites you can get loose petals and build your own flowers...I spent time yesterday punching out small flowers
and some larger ones , so I have quite a stock of them, I also found a backing paper the sort that is a freebie with mags, it was small butterflys so cut some out and glued two together added some glitter and am pleased with the result... now I will look through my stash of decorative papers to see if there is any more...lol....Another thing I do is cut out any nice verses in craft mags put a backing on them and add to cards, or spend time stamping verses, using Stazon....
I do like verse I think it makes them more personal....

yes Jean I think the inside of the cards are just as important as the front.

I have a cream coloured paper that I use as my inserts. which I put scalloped border down one edge. and then the verse on the left. Usually do this by hand, as I had done a calligraphy course years ago and while my hand writing is still looking nice I will continue it.

on the back I put "Handmade by ......" and the year

I have recently finished a few cards, so I should let you all have a look.

Hello, Ive recently started making dolls house food from Fimo. I also 'bling' shoes with diamonte. And Im customising acrylic (false) nails to sell. Ive set up a Facebook page and do Ebay as well, (been told by someone on here that I must not say what my username is otherwise its advertising!!). Never thought I was creative, it just goes to show what the imagination can do. It was interesting reading through all your posts. Going to sleep now, night all.

That all sounds interesting RS I bet the dolls house food will be popular.

I've just tried to answer your question on the blog but it wouldn't let me post. The first comment worked fine but not the second.
Anyway to answer your question I didn't make the beads.I have a friend who makes jewellery and she gave me the beads and showed me how to crimp the spacers.

I have some more pendants that I have made and would like to make some more neclaces but have to get the right beads.
I'd be really interested to know how you make the beads in a microwave if you do find out.

This week I have been backing a quilt top. Had great trouble getting it aligned. and had to unpick a section twice near one of the corners. I think the problem was that one part of the join wasnt straight, so by the time I got near the corner it was more than a centimeter out. I ended up having to make a small fold near one of the other joins and stitching over it, to try to hide it.

Today I am going to put on the binding and then give it a gentle wash.

Will send the photo another day.
I also finished the third block of the field of dreams, and Im happy with how it turned out. So I went to get more matching fabric to complete three more.
Im using a dark colour choice, of cherry, brown, yellow, and mid green. patterns and plains. at the speed im doing this one I will be very old before its finished.

This afternoon my friend and I are going to the open day for a new retirement village that is offering stage two cottages.
My house is going on the market at the end of the month, but I cant afford to move until after this one is sold, as I dont want to do any bridging finance.
Weather is changing, and the nights are cold enough for doonas now.
we had a great lot of rain in recent weeks, but today the sun is shining.
