Shaun sorry, missed your post. Yes theya re very hungry at the moment. That is a big family of long tailed tits, apparently they go around in family groups. One thing we have never had in the garden is a woodpecker although we get them just up the road on the golf course. |

Ann the minute I wander down the garden with the bag of seed one of the Robins suddenly appears.I think it is the same Robin each time as it always pops out of the same tree and onto the same branch :-D |

Robins can be very aggressive Jane can't they? But I love them. Yes they are very hungry, we had to buy more food today as we had run out. |

Being eaten out of house and home here lol.I have got through a £5 bag of peanuts in just the last 3 days ,plus 2 Suet filled Coconuts.I put seed down on 3 tree stumps at the bottom of the garden and that seems to go in a flash. The Robins are the first ones there .One Robin dive bombed another this morning and knocked it straight off one of the stumps :-S. |

Certainly an influx of birds today, no doubt because of the colder weather. A pair of black caps and the usual robin, sparrows, starlings, blue and great tits, Greenfinch.goldfinch, Chaffinch, blackbirds, collard doves and wood pigeon. Had to fill up the birdfeeders as the pigeons and doves had empied one of them. |

This morning we had a large flock of long tailed tits on our feeders, a sign the weather is getting colder. :-) |

Thanks Jane and a Happy New Year to you too. I envy you your woodpecker. Oh did see some long tailed tits in the garden yesterday but by the time I looked they had gone. Story of my life. But we still have the goldfinches, black cap, sparrows robin and blue and great Titan feeding, oh yes, I did see a coal tit there yesterday too. Too wet for many of them today though. |
