On an episode of QI a couple of years ago it was pointed out that seagull is a misnomer and they are ornithologically just gulls. They are coastal birds which never venture far out to sea. |

I was watching a Seagull chasing a Red Kite today.I know Crows do that but have not seen a Seagull doing the same.I never ceases to amaze me the number of Seagulls around as we are about as far away from the sea as you can get lol.It must be the landfills that attract them. |

The blackbirds were frisky this morning, three males and one female in the garden. We also had a blackcap and the usual goldfinch, chaffinch and bluetit. |
