See you on the beach then Anne. Forever' hope the rescue remedy helps, sure it will. Big difference in price from one shop to another. Were they the same brand? Bach is good. Tinkers with practice the breathing will help. Just keep at it.
Saw Dutch has fell and hurt her legs, hope she gets over the pain of that soon.
Took Mum out for lunch today, with our daughter and her boyfriend. It was nice. Four days at work then some holiday time off.

Hello everyone hope you are all keeping as well as you can be.

My son had a letter from the Primary Care Mental Health Service on Sat. 4/6/11 to say that his GP had referred him, however he has to phone them on Monday with the aim of making an appointment which they say maybe between 4 to 6 weeks.

I got some Rescue Remedy for him from local chemist and it cost £6-90 and in another chemist it was only £4-90 if it does him good I don't mind the cost but £2 difference :-( :-(.

Thank you all for support .

Tinkers, do you have lavender in the bedroom, just a faint smell of it is relaxing, you don't want it too strong.

Carole, you must lie on the same beach as me, I might meet you there one night Lol!!!

I saw somewhere that you can get chewing gum which is rescue remedy.

Ann and Tinkers pleased you had good holidays.
Tinkers did you get some rescue remedy ? We really recommend it.
Along with the breathing exercise try lying down when you have a few moments to relax and try relaxation . I like to imagine I am alone on a hot beach, the sky is blue with the odd slow moving white cloud. Birds hovering above a clif which gives shelter from any breeze. The sound of the sea gently splashing on the pebbled beach. At the same time controling my breathing. In no time I fall asleep!

Forever' thinking of your son, I know how worried about him you will be feeling xx

Mary how is C getting on in her new job?

Sounds good Tinkers, I know it's frustrating to wait for the pills to kick in, we all seem to want everything instantly these days, but things start to turn around when you can finally get a decent night's sleep.
Stay well, we're in your corner.

Carole I know how hard it is to lose a pet, having gone through it too many times. Thinking of you and of course sending hugs and support.
FM I am so glad this thread has been a blessing for you, it has really helped many people since our dear Carole initiated it 3 years ago. It truly is amazing to me how one can feel so close to people on the other side of the globe, whom we've never met in person! I can honestly say that I have felt overwhelmed at times by the support I've received through this cyber family. Somehow it is a safe place to share and support. So we welcome you.
Group hug,
Mary (who shouldn't be awake at 1 am, but got a second wind at 11pm!)

FM pleased your son got a sick note. Some time will help him come to terms with loosing his job. Ask his Dr about a confidence course at your local mental health clinic. They are really useful in helping you realise you are with other people who look 'normal'! I found it helped me to feel less alone and hopeless.

We buried our dogs ashes today. A sad moment

AnninGlos Report 31 May 2011 16:41

Sounds like the doctor was more understanding hten and good that he has been given a sick certificate.

Thanks for your support AnninGlos. much appreciated. GP arranging for an appointment with PMCT? have to wait at least 4/6 weeks.

He has given him sick note so that he isn't being hustled by jobseekers.

Once again thank you.

Hope your son's GP has a better attitude this time FM, it must have been a shock to hom to be made redundant after all that time, he will find it harder than most to adjust I'm sure. I hope he manages to find something else. It is good to know how this thread helps people too.

Hi I always read your comments folk they help me deal with my son who has mental problems and really bad OCD.

He was made redundant a few weeks ago after being with the same local gov. company for 13 years although he only worked 3 days a week.

I have managed to get him to come with me to see his GP later today, although he doesn't have any faith whatsoever in medical workers after once being told to pull his self together.

Your postings are keeping me sane. Thank you one and all.
