Lol, what's happening here then? Thought I was seeing things with Sharron then Joyce starts. Joyce we don't have a ffront door to outside, we live on the top floor of the housing association flats, my chair will go through the front door,(like when I go to the laundry) but the inside doors are smaller. My prescription has six pages stapled together and I only need certain things off it every month so I fill it in and Philip takes it to the doctor next door for them to do it for me, no problem really it's not as if he has to walk far. I get a new prescription every time I get some tablets so I already have it. As regards green tomato chutney I haven't got my mums recipe but will look in her book and see if I can find it. The one I used to make of my mums was piccalily, loved it but haven't made it for a few years since I have been like this. You told me what you did with your computer chair ages ago so I started doing it, it's good innit. Well we shall see if mine repeats itself now.
Love Caz xx

Hi Caz xx hi all..... I have a very, very big sledge hammer which would be useful in knocking down a few of your obstructive walls, tell me when it is convenient and I will get my daughter to drive us over to your place and 'have a bash' lol, nothing like a scenic view to cheer one up, yes.....the only thing is that Cocky would take advantage and attempt to spread his wings!....seriously though, by law your local council has to address this problem for you and must be made to widen your front door...one only becomes a prisoner when one has committed a crime and you have'nt.....( I don't think lol) Talking of tomato chutney and recipes, well unless the sun REALLY shines for about another week I will end with a glut of green tomatoes! do you remember you mom's recipe or not? Caz, you mentioned about getting your OH to take your prescription to your chemist? Can't you registered with your doctor's practice so you can order repeat prescriptions online. I have that facility and I also obtained a form from my local chemist enabling them to uplift any prescription from the practice, dispense it and deliver to my door,..obviously one has to be restricted in movement to qualify for such service and sad to say I more than qualify...saying that I have my faithful 'computer chair' which whizzes me around if and when I need a little help! I even take it into the garden and I am at the right heigth for attending to my many flowering and fruit pots, well there's a will, there's a way and nothing but nothing beats Joycie when she puts her mind to anything, he he...... Must away lass, my g/daughter has just popped in to see me so am going to catch up on all her news...take care my bonnie lassie, love you..Joyce xxxxxx

Morning all, Ann I am rather big in the back end so a smaller wheelchair wouldn't do, anyway they measure you for them. I'm ok usually but it is getting harder to get about, luckily there is always a peice of furnature to hold onto to move. Sharron I remember my mum making green tomato chutney, lucious it was too, my granddad had a large allotment and a greenhouse and he always had pounds of green tomatos left over at the end of summer. Mum never wasted anything if she could help it, it turned into a family favourite for our extended family. Oops I have forgotten to do my prescrition and oh is taking his round now so better go do it. Sharron what's with all the copies, lol.

Sharron you trying to boost the number of posts Lol, your fingers obviously did some clicking there.
Joyce that was lovely, to give Deanna the 9000 post. I bet she is chuckling.
Caz, is there no way that you can get a narrower wheelchair for use in the flat? Could the Red Cross advise you?

Oh yes.Sorry Carole, didn't want to cause alarm. That was my anniversary whinge. It has been five years now, well on the 17th.
Just stir crazy,
Thank you for your concern. Hope every body else is coping.
Green tomato mincemeat time is upon us again. I have finished the enormous jar of pickled onions,5lb I think, I bought for the jar. How unfortunate that I should have to eat them too. So there will be one giant jar of mincemeat this year I think.

I have been captive for five years now. That is how long since the old man has his stroke.
He was in hospital, being looked after for five months and thought he was coming home to more of the same. Just shows you how wrong you can be!

Lavender, she was the most lovely lady, kind and funny and always there for anyone, she will be badly missed, I still can't believe she is not here with us anymore, her presence was that strong.
Joyce big sis, how lovely to see you on here, how are you keeping these days, I don't keep up with my pms like I should so get behind with everything. How is Toby doing, still dragging you round all the bushes? lol.
I don't come on GR much nowadays because I find it hard sitting for long but I read what you are all up to even if I don't respond. I'm finding it very difficult to get around now, my legs won't hold me up and my wheelchair won't go through the doors in the flat so I tend to lie on the bed a lot and read. At the moment my depression has come back with a vengence, it is horrible feeling like this and anti-depressants just make me feel dopy all day.
Carole I hope your mouth feels better now, Philip is still rinsing with salt water and some slipped down his throat the other day, the air was blue for a short while, lol. Hope everyone else is ok and keeping well, I will look in on the thread more often in future.
Love Caz xx

This 9000th posting is dedicated to our dearly beloved Deanna xxxx
Yes Deanna, I have cheated by one nudge to ensure your name appears in lights and that once again you are our brightest star for the day and for ever...... Remember when you were in hospital and I posted and teased you about our challenges over the years, be it in length of individual posting, 5000 characters or maybe more, or who could outwit the other with jesting and teasing, what battles we had and what fun..then came the deadly serious business of watching the clock and the postings climb up to the next 1000th odd posting, whoever winning a gold medal for endurance. If I remember rightly I won the gold medal for the 4000th, Anne the 5000th and you the 6000th.
Well today Deanna the prize, as promised, for the 9000th goes to you lass, I know you will not be here to lord it over me and brag, he he..but as sure as hell you will be laughing your head off and looking down and smiling, that I know lass...
Be happy, be at peace and sleep well, love you....Joyce xxxxxx

Carole, hope you'll feel MUCH better soon, toothache is so tiring. I'm finding that anxiety levels have risen along with the blood pressure, wondering if, after years on Celexa, new symptoms/side effects can arise. Tired of being tired. Won two more books this week on goodreads, they have quite a few giveaways for both Canada and the UK, not just USA. Lets me read some new authors and think some new thoughts LOL. Wishing I could pass them on to Deanna or at least share about them. Miss her so much. Still can't find a buyer for the ATV I won, really want to unload it soon, biggest prize I have ever won!! Should be a good time to sell one as hunting season has arrived here. No good to me as I only hunt ancestors and 'new' cousins !! Good day all, Mary

Glad you are home, and Sharron was right wasn't she, not too bad. Next time you will be saying " Just off to the dentist" in smug voice, well I did anyway. I felt proud of myself for going but anyone who hasn't got the fear of dentists wont understand. Oh had a tooth out last week because of infection, the first one he has ever had out.

Extraction doesn't even hurt does it? When the bruising and stuff has healed it won't hurt any more.
The dentist wasn't so bad after all was he?

I'm home minus two back teeth! Three stitches and a face so swollen I look like i had a match with Mike Tyson and lost! Another tooth out Friday next week. Then after my holiday a filling replaced. Will have to earn some extra money at the Stone Bow to pay for all this!! Dentist did a good job of keeping all instraments out of my view!! Now to start the healing part
Thanks Caz it's lovely to see you here, hope you are doing okay xx
