I have only come on to say good night to you all.
My bay is back... you would think he was 12 to listen to me, but I can't help it. I've missed him so very much.
AND, the man came this morning to set up the freebox, and now I have a new worry.... learning how to us the bloomin thing. Hope I don't go an lose all my favourite TV programmes.
he had to take it through the front of the house so made a hole into the bedroom.... then through to the living room, and stapled all the cable around the doors... FINE! Bur when he had to move the wardrobe .....I have never been so humiliated in my life!! The cobwebs behind that were like something from GREAT EXPECTATIONS!! ;-0( They have been sorted.... but who in my state of health moves a wardrobe every week/ month/ YEAR?? Please everyone, please please don't all shout MEEEE!
Good night all and I hope you have a lovely evening.
Ben, I hope she is willing to meet for a coffee, and that you make a nice new friend who understands your foibles... that is what we all need. lots of love to all, Deanna XXX

Hello again,
I forgot to mention something in my last posting. The terrible thing that is hanging over my head these last months is the big bogey man, this started off the depression and strees that I am suffering, making everything far, far worse.I dread every time the letter box rattles....feel invaded in my own home, as it were. This makes all my worries about family a million times harder to bear. Sorry for not being clearer, but I cannot talk about this at all.Only my old school friend in England knows the full extent of this, to of my children know a bit.
Have a lovely day everyone, should say, lovely bank holiday.

Morning all,
Have to be off shopping with daughter soon, something I loath, especially on a saturday. Kathy, I can understand how upsetting it is for you, not to be able to be with your friend in Spain, when she needs you. My (only) sister's husband died a year ago yesterday, and I couldn't be with her for several reasons.I send her a card and phoned her yesterday morning. Carole, how is your dad today, any improvement? It is a good thing that your mum will have home care to wash & dress your dad. I had to have this for my aunt, in the last year of her life, but she would only agree to someone coming 2 x per week.Only when she developed ulcers on her leg would she agree to a nurse coming in every day to dress it. Betty, it would be nice to go to Ireland for a few days in autumn, but we shall see how things go here first. Gail, I am pleased that your oh's op went so well, and that he is cancer-free now. Elaine, also good that your o.h is picking up again Liz, I know that everything you say here makes sense, BUT, it is a big but, I can't feel easy, or even happy, knowing that my loved ones are in pain, be it mental or physical.I would gladly bear all their pain, if it would help to ease theirs. To all of you on here, who are suffering one way or another, I wish you a lot of sunshine in your lives, and may you all find peace of mind.
Eileen xx

Hi
I have become online friends with a really nice woman on an OCD forum. She is helpful to everyone. She lives in London. I am one of her best friends on the forum.
I think she is about late 20s. There will be an OCD convention in October and she wants me to go along so that I can meet her in person. A good invitation.
Trouble is, I start my promotion soon and may not be able to make it there but I will be in London beforehand and PM'd her to see if she would like to meet for a coffee and chat as a fellow OCD sufferer. Maybe at a train station. I messaged her last night and was sick to death in bed with worry last night about what her answer might be. I just want to have a chat and if she is willing to meet me at a conference I am sure she wont object to a meeting beforehand in case I cant go to the conference.

Kathy pleased you now know where J is!
Yesterday morning my son said he was of to Alton Towers. Ok. I went out to get in my car at lunch time to take Mum to hospital to see Dad, and sons car was parked behind mine, on a long narrow drive. I phoned him. Have you left your car keys at home? No he said. Use the spare. But the spare has no chip in it, and so the immobiliser will stop the car from starting. Husband come back and pushed sons car out the way alarm shrieking! Noticed two tyres were dangerously low, so another job for later.
I am taking Mum to visit Dad again today.
Tomorrow oh and I are going to Burnley, to visit a second cousin I found on here. We have met twice before. Not sure how I will cope with journey or any of the weekend, but I'm doing it. Last time I took imodium, this time I will not.
Love to you all xxx

Been to visit Dad this afternoon. He was sat in a chair for the first time. He was much more alert, and breathing so much better. Occupational therapist and physiotherapist came to see Mum, to see how she managed transferring him from his wheelchair, to the commode. They are happy to say he can go home as soon as he is off his drip. Mum has agreed to have homecare in place to get him washed and dressed in the morning. But against her true wishes!

Love to everyone . Will be back tomorrow... if the men come early to put my free box in. If not I will be back.
Kathy... Of course you are feeling sorry for yourself... you have lost a friend and you can't go and help. I always think *stop feeling sorry for yourself* is the most stupid thing to say. No offence to all who don't agree, but if you cannot feel sorry for YOU..how do you know how to feel sympathy for others?? And that is my philosophy for the day folks... tee hee..
Lots of love to all, Deanna XXX

Thanks purple for your reply. If it does not improve by the end of the Bank Holiday, I think I will go to doctors. I hadn't previously because I didn't want to be a nuisance and him think I was wasting his time, but I have tried 'mind over matter' to try and get these symptoms/feelings to subside. Thanks again.

M. Margaret, what you are describing sounds a bit like stress related symptoms but might be worth checking with your doctor who could give you something to help, or you could use the good old Rescue Remedy, which really is useful when things get tricky. Sounds as tho your o.h. is a bit like mine! Victor Meldrew lol take care Lizx

Ann, yes I think it was something one of my infant school teachers taught us but my Mum used to remind me if I forgot! My Dad didn't have much to do with it, he worked shifts so wasn't always there at bedtimes.
Love Lizxxxx

Kathy, your friend knows you would be there with her if you could, and maybe later she could come to you for a break, when she is ready of course. Meanwhile you can be there for her at the end of the phone or by email. She and Salvi wouldn't want you to feel bad about not going there. I wish I was able to come to you and support you, through this sad time. I know a little of how you feel as I called my friend Liz's Dad this afternoon, he said she isn't good altho glad to be home. It will be Liz's 59th birthday on Tuesday - will take her a card when I visit this weekend or before the day, and hope she can be here to have her special day with her family and friends around her. Take care of yourself Kathy, you know where I am if you need to off load any more altho fine to do it here too. lots of love, my friend. Lizxx

Hi everyone,
My goodness Mary, how awful it must have been for you to faithfully take all that medication, thinking you were doing the right thing, then discover it was undermining your health, was dangerous! It is indeed always wise to check & double-check. Yes Ann, we all seem to laugh through our tears, don't we? It WAS a funny story, that could only happen to that particular daughter, who has had some really wierd things happen to her.My (4) daughers won't read the boards, nor will my son, but I am thinking more of when I become ill or 'kick the bucket'. Have given this a lot of thought, knowing how our lives hang on a silken thread, so to speak, and VERY aware how bad my general health is.My eldest gandchild Indra, (she will turn 25 tomorrow, the 25th)started this whole shebang. She wanted to try find out who had the same disease that her mum, my eldest and handicapped daughter has, so became a free member of GR, when that was still possible. This encouraged me to become a fully paid-up member.I know she reads some things now and then, so would hate for her to see what I write here.I try keep everything hidden from all of them if possible. When I become really infirm, I may tell them, but, hopefully, that is a long way away yet. Thank you Ann, I may take you up on your offer yet.
Love from Eileen xxx

Whitenancy. I agree with Liz, i think just this once you should help with clearing the personal stuff. Be careful where you put it though because if the flea infestation is as bad as you think they may be in the clothes.
Mary, Oh dear no wonder you have felt unwell. I hope the toxins clear your body soon. Poor you and a lesson to us all.
Janet, good to see you on here even if only briefly. (((hugs))) for you and hope your Mum's nose heals soon.
Liz, I can't believe your parents made you say goodnight and thank you for all you have done for us, every night. Did they think by you saying it parrot fashion it would make you thankful!!!
Eileen, good job you and your daughter can laugh at mishaps. Do your daughters read these boards then? If you want to get things off your chest 9so to speak) in private, feel free to PM me any time.
