Hi all, just spent a lovely day as my OH's nephew (in his 50s) and his lovely new 20 years younger wife called to see us. You will know why we enjoyed it when i tell you that we had not seen Pete for almost 50 years. OH's brother and first wife were divorced and she wouldn't let our family have anything to do with the children afterwards. Gill helped us find him via Friends reunited a few months ago and today they came to see us. He is so much like his dad and therefore my OH. we had a great time showing them all the family photos etc.
Gail hope you enjoy the wedding and your outfit sounds wonderful Carole try and tell yourself you will not develop panic attacks as you have enough to contend with.
I have heard from Eileen, i think she may have gone to Amsterdam again today.
Joyce, so you are that person who wacked me with your stick at the airport??? Only joking, I am sure it must be very difficult, hard enough to tow one case without a stick!

Gail, have a brilliant time, want to see the pics too so make sure you get some good ones. Outfit sounds lovely. Safe travelling.
Mary, so glad you had a birthday party, wasn't it nice of them, bet you are relieved you went in, they would have been so disappointed if you had called in sick.
Carole, will keep you posted, hard to explain about the sessions.
Gillian, glad you have your bite back lol You take care and don't do too much for your son, teach him to get his own whites white and his own ironing up to standard! Stands them in good stead. Hope the hob fits ok.
Dutch, you sound as bad as me, two suitcases for a week! You take care.
Romany, I can't feel Christmassy at all, still haven't done the cards I wanted to do this week, have to get off here and make an effort!
Hope our Eileen and Betty get back soon, I do miss them posting.
Love to all

Not done much for Christmas, Carole. Wrote my Christmas card list out, and am half way through the shopping. Normally Im finished by November and cant wait for it....but this year I couldnt care less. Although I dont want to be that way, as we have 3 kids. I'll take the girls to see Santa and hopefully get into the mood. Everyone seems to be doing everything earlier this year!
By the way, is your birthday around Dec? Just realised when I typed Christmas Carole....

Morning everyone, I am really pleased to know my son is safe and eating properly, he hadn't been while he was away, I have spent 2 days trying to get his washing sorted out and to get his whites white again, last lot in this morning, spent yesterday evening ironing, I was so tired, Id been out with my sister on her birthday, total disaster and then yesterday had to go out again to the dentist, got washing on the line before going only for it to be rained on while I was out. At least I now have my new front tooth crown in place, I feel normal now. I am having a relaxing day today, I did buy a shopping trolley yesterday as I can no longer struggle to carry shopping and use a stick. The weekend will be an upheaval, we had to buy a new hob, so thats being put in on Saturday, just hope all goes to plan and nothing becomes too difficult, the old ones been in for 11 years so I hope its not difficult to remove, I know the new one will fit the hole as we got near on the same measurements for the new one. Take care everyone.
Love Gillie XXXX

goodness weren't we busy yesterday. I'm getting ready to go to work, but wanted to look in on you all. I hate to get behind.
Hope you can send some photos Gail. If you can put them on face book, you can then send a link for those not on there, to view them. Have a good time and what do you mean only printed back to 1400's!! How far do you go back? I'll be chasing this up with you when you get home xx
Liz hope you can manage to keep going despite the rise in price. Sounds interesting what does he do to make you think you are being hypnotised? I'm going to get some rescue remedy next time I go into town. That's a good idea of yours. I tell others to try it. xx
Mary whats an 85 year old doing staying up so late? You get yourself off to bed at 9 like all the other old ladies! How nice that they did the food party for you. Good job you didn't call in sick! xxx
EILEEN !!! Can you hear me? I might need some help from you all to shout Eileen back . I know you have a lot on your mind Eileen. Don't worry about being away for a while it's no problem. xxx
Dutch how are you? xx
Caz how do you feel today? xx
Must get on so I'll catch up with you all later have a good day xx

Just a quickie note as I am really tired. had to work this evening, considered calling in sick, but decided I'd try to make it through. Got a huge surprise, all the staff on evening shift had brought in food and a huge spread was set and a b'day cake for me. One had the audacity to ask if I was 85!!!!!! Food was delicious and I was so touched that they would do this for me, the oldest 'old fogie' of the evening shift. One of my residents asked me tonight if I was going to move into the home when I retire, as there is 'a vacancy next door to me'. Dear soul, loves to read Catherine Cookson books and I pick them up for her at sales or off Freecycle. Thick Scottish accent despite several decades in Canada, and deaf as a post. We have some very interesting (misunderstood) conversations. Lots of lonely people live in the care homes, either they have no families or have been deserted by their families. Please remember the lonely at Christmas, as well as the homeless. Now I'm off to bed, it's almost 130 AM and I have to drive the kids at 8am. Hugs Mary

I have been reading the posts on here but will reply when I get back after the weekend. We are leaving in the morning (Friday) as it is a long trip.
My outfit is a 3 piece suit. Black trousers and blouse and a black 3/4 length jacket, just below the knees. Trousers are just normal. Blouse has black embroidery and past the bottom and very flowing and soft. The jacket/coat is also very light and flowing. It is edged in red, the front has red embroidery and red beads. I also have a red silk scarf to wear with it. Shoes are just a pair of black thong type shoe and flat as cannot now wear heals.
The couple have requested money as gifts, as they have been together for a few years. I would rather give gifts instead of money as not as personal. I decided to print our family tree and put it in book form and a folder as well as the money. At least it is something to remember us by. I had to shorten the book by a few generations as did not have enough printer ink. So only printed back to the 1400's.
I am going to have a lovely weekend, just not looking forward to the trip itself. I have my gel cushion and back brace in the car and this does make it a bit easier, just hate having to wear the neck brace when travelling, it does mean less pain at the end though.
Panic Attacks!!!! Oh I do know and have been like that today, trying hard to avoid it but have resorted to check and re check and check again, till driving myself nuts. So have sat myself down at puter as does help and keep my mind off things.
Love and hugs
Gail

Hi Carole, why not use Rescue Remedy - take some each morning or when you start to feel panicky.
I asked the chap about whether it was hypnosis and he said no, he hadn't seen the programme I watched so I am hoping I didn't erase it and can get o.h. to make him a copy as he has a person he is trying to help who hates being in enclosed spaces like one of the people on the tv prog. I was a bit late getting there as my ibs started up just before I was due to leave. We had a sort of review of how things are going, and he gave me a list of things to do before next week, including taking him a bag of unsorted newspapers to get rid of, I usually have to go through them even if they are months old! Apparently he does do hypnosis tho and said it might be a road we take later on. I also have to start paying more as the place has said they need more funds, I was just paying what I could afford which was very little, but my biggest pressure and problem is finances so this added pressure won't be helpful! Will keep you posted on whether I get all the tasks done etc and what happens next.
Hope everyone is ok and coping - need to get to bed a bit earlier if I can, am so tired.
Love and hugs Lizxxx

I'm here,.. my daughter come home last night and I had the hair dresser here. Working five days this week, so been busy doing jobs I would have done Thurs and Friday at home. I feel a bit like I am going to start having panic attacks and am worried about that. Don't want to start panicking when going to work, it's bad enough trying to cope with the toilet business. God it was bad again this morning.
