Tinkers, pleased that you managed to get a good nights sleep last night, well done.
Apart from having a bit of a panic attack, did you enjoy the film. As you say it did you good to go out. I found that the more I went out the easier it became to go out, and I'm sure that it will be the same for you, take it slowly but surely.

There is light at the end of the tunnel and you will get there if you take all the good advice from all your friends on here. We are all here for you.

I had a bit of a panic attack this evening I went to the pictures to see a film and just got back tho the break did me the world of good

Well I had a pretty decent night sleep last night and got up about 11 crickeyI never stay in bed till then I must have needed the sleep

Tinkers, pleased to know that you are not so teary now and that you are eating a bit more and not sick. I can't give you anymore advice than you than the excellent advice you have had everyone on here.
Like you, I thought that I would never get through it, but I did, although it took a long time. I still have a couple of not so good days now and again, but nothing as bad as it was, I can cope with it and get over it now.

As SuffolkVera and others have said, a few small steps at a time, slowly but surely you will get there.

You know you have a lot of friends on here to help you through it. and we are all on your side.

You still have a long way to go is right. But I think what Suffolkvera says is right. You haven't got into this depression over night and you wont get out of it over night. But use the methods we are all trying to teach you and in time you will get stronger. Practise every spare moment you have xx

Carole has been there and can give you good advice. My only real experience of these problems is through supporting a friend but I can offer encouragement.

When my friend first went to her doctor he said that it had taken time to get to the state she was in and it would take an equal amount of time for her to get better. You might think you are not improving as much as you would like but keep taking baby steps and you will get there in the end.

At her worst my friend could see no future. Now only a few months later she has been able to reduce her medication a bit, has fewer panic attacks and controls them with breathing techniques etc., and she is now looking forward. In fact, she is planning a holiday overseas in February.

So, don't get discouraged. You have a lot of friends on here and everyone is on your side.

You're doing very well to cut back on the teary days. Next step is to work on the nights which seem to upset you. Shame its winter and dark so early, making long nights.
Try breathing techniques. Counting slowly to five as you breath in, hold for five, and slowly breath out to five. Sit somewhere comfortable and quiet. Let your mind think of nothing but your breathing. Repeat this until you feel less shaky. Practise this as often as you can.
The more you practise the better it'll work.
So clear your mind of everything - but the counting and breathing.

Well another day has gone past I'm still pretty much depressed tho I'm not in tears every two minutes still got the nasty cough medication for that finishes tomorrow

I'm starting to eat abit more to get my strength up and I'm not throwing up as much as I was

Managed to go into the city this mornin tho it was heaving wiv Xmas shoppers

Managed to gelt threw another day no tears but still very depressed and I'm quiet then my
Normal self

I've been in shower settled down to watch the junGle and the panicky feelin has set in
The chesty cough is starting to feel abit better tho now its on the night when it's at it's worst

For the cough at night Michelle. Have you tried the remedy that many on here have tried? Rub vick on your feet and put socks on and wear them in bed. It really does seem to stop the worst of the cough. Another thing I* do is to take a flask of hot squash to be with me. Hot squash seems to arrest a tickly cough.

Had a bad night last night tho think that was due to the cough tho on pills for that its not giveing me no peace

Doggy as been giving me lots of cuddles and is following me every were poor mite is worried but can't understand wats going on, hubby has been brilliant looking after me n staying strong

Yesterday had no tears until last night

Tho I am still very depressed I just feel so numb and empty

This passed fortnight I have gone threw every emotion going

Hubby is still giving me my pills as I don't trust myself with them

Thank u so much everyone u all have been brilliant I wouldn't hav been threw this without you

Well done for calming yourself tinkers with the knitting and breathing, keep up the good work and don't forget to give your o.h. a big hug from us all for looking after you so well, and you can give the dog a cuddle too as sounds as tho she is supporting you as best she can.

Hope you got some sleep and will feel stronger to face the day. Well done for getting to the market as well, pharmacies have the Rescue Remedy, you can buy drops that you just put on your tongue or a spray. Either work well and are easy to use.

Just want to say keep up the good work Tinkers!! I am heading away for 12 days in the morning so will trust you can continue to make progress and with several wise ladies on here I know you will be looked after. Carole, what you wrote is brilliant, and as others have said, had you not walked the walk you wouldn't be able to talk the talk. We know, don't we?
I hope all will be well , I won't have internet access so will catch you all when I get back.

I'm knitting a scarf I'm not very Gud at knitting as I've just learnt the basics thanx to u tube lol I've put it down all week but just started backj again hopin it'll keep me busy and relaxed

Well today I've not been in tears

I've picked up the knitting needles today after not knitting for three days

But now it's night time I'm starting to panic and can't stop shaking

I have to control my breathing, I have to control my breathing
