Two years! Blimy. I have made some lovely friends on here, and I think of you as my family. Sometimes we don't see as much of some people as we would like due to other pressing reasons, but we know our family is there when we are ready. For me I can see a great change in myself, and a lot of it is due to the support I have been given over the last two years on here. Thank you all for staying with me xxx |

I would also like to thank Carole for starting the thread. I may not be as badly affected by the various disorders as some of you but when I did need some support it was there. |

Mary I am so pleased that at last you have resigned, hopefully that means more time for you to take for yourself, less pressure and hopefully time for you to heal. Two years, it doesn't seem possible, such a lot of comfort has been given in those two years. Mary, you have given as much as you have received. |

Dear Mary, the good you have done so many people is well worth putting up with you for two years my friend, what a lucky thing for many of us when you joined gr. Glad you have renewed and hope things get lots better for you and yours, good thing you have resigned at last, you don't need the hassle or stress altho I know a wage is handy, it is sometimes not worth the pain of the job. |

Thanks Ann. I have copied the stuff from my uncle and Lou has said I can give the orriginals to his son. Also copied some old photos for myself. I'm not taking any more stuff in to her now. I don't want her room to get cluttered up like her house. I now realise she can't say no to anyone elses pass me downs, or throw anything away, in case it's of any use to someone. So hope we will get some charity bags soon. Or it's going to be recycled. Have a pile of 1970's magazines anyone want a good read!! |

Carole, if your Aunty is in a residential home be careful what you take in to her. My Dad had a scrap book full of old photos in with him and, after he died we never did find it again, several other bits went missing so don't take valuable photos or papers in. Think about copying photos for her if she wants them in there. |

Phew what a day! Been so busy. Steve and I went to Aunties and threw away lots of old curtain fabric (some of which was at my parents when I was a kid). Cooking pans, old handbags, mags, even a broken element from a gas fire, wrapped in newspaper dated 1976. Found a bracelet and ring that she thought had gone 'missing'. But I was so excited to find letters from my uncle (her brother) from when he was a prisoner of war in WW2, under the Japs. Also poems written at the time. A photo of my grandfathers brother and his wife, one of my grandfather in his WW1 uniform, on card writen to his father giving him his war number and saying he is soon to move out (1914) and other photos. Also some certificates (some of which I had bought copies of). Took photos, junk jewelry, and good stuff to Lou, and cardigans, brand new towels, tea towels and a nightie. By the way anyone want some loose leaf tea price ticket on it 46p!! |

I want to find my 3xgreat grandfather Thomas Musgrave's death in America after 1900. He is on the 1900 US census in North Fayette, PA. |

Ben, it is good that you understand that. continue to assert your positivity over your doubts and you will win. Move on now to the next stage. who are you searching for next? |

What I have to understand is that OCD is OCD and it is called the doubting disease. If I find something good in genealogy OCD will try and ridicule it and come inbetween me and my good findings and come up with very illogical scenarios. |

Deanna I didn't have an appointment. You get a note from your Dr and just go when the Xray department are open. I went yesterday. Another thing I couldn't have done so easily a while ago. And I went on my own. So I now have to wait two weeks for the results. Also have to see the practise nurse for a spirometry test. |

Carpet was finally layed on Thursday, blinds arrived on Wednesday. OH worked overtime yesterday so blinds, curtains, chest of drawers and bed are all in place now, just have to make the bed with OH help and will be able to sleep there tonight. Best of all I will have my bed ring back so will now be able to get up without worrying OH. Old bedspread will match for the time being, or until I find what I am looking for eventually. |
