if any of my previous letters are anything to go by there won't be any response, other than the people I know who've read it and say "I agree with you". Still, as long as people read it that's all I really want - make them understand and no be so flaming judgemental all the time about something they appear to know nothing about

hi iam from austraila we have a mental health internet site called beyondblue that one of are primeminsters set up after he suffered a break down. just to let some people know its not always picked up on if you have a family link to depession I went to my long time doc's and it was his words that made me look at my family.(It sounds like depession but your not the type to get depessed) what i found was both my parent sufferd with it but had learnt way's to cope which without knowing had passed on to me. it was my dads passing from lung cancer and my mother long term bad health that had pushed me over I returned to my doc's and told him about my family. he gave me a script and the support i needed.( Dad always had his own room where he watched tv and did he's own stuff didn't mix much but was always there for us. we moved house alot everytime mum got everything in the right spot, redecked and the garden spot on we'ed be off again. but this was normal for us kids.) I've had bad 3 attack's just comming out of my last one advice get to know yourself if you can relise your on a dark path you can get to the end of it quicker best wishes to all

farmer giles have you done any voluntery work or helped friends who would give you a reference. It hasn't always got to be prievious employer. I know aplication forms ask about depression so you have to tell them. Hard isn't it.x

Hi Farmer Giles - how about asking your GP for a letter to confirm that you have been medication free and on the up and up for a long time now - that might help you

Thank you Tracey Brown re the site for Thyroid issues.
I have underactive Thyroid, and thanks to a good doctor given the right Thyroxine dose. My grandmother died going into a coma, from this problem, so was pleased I was diagnosed before it got too bad.

I agree with all you wrote Ann.

No one knows how this man feels, he made the comment when they said how did he feel he was free, and he said about his son being dead.

I can never understand people, who know someone is unstable goading them.

Many times in jobs I have had, I have had to intercede where people I knew had depression and were being bullied and goaded.

One girl years later committed suicide, after having two children and had post natal depression. I had moved, and was not there to talk her through her problems. This did upset me.

So good on you Ann
