**** Shocked ****

In my defend as a braz sister I do have some nice things about me...

1) I always listen whenn your ranting about work, I know where to nod and hmm in the right places and dare not interupt.

2) Who is the first person to go and get your shopping when your ill and does your housework to help you out.

3) Family parties always seem to be held at my house and the excuse used is ...but your such a good hostess.

4) Who never forgets the birthday's ?

5) When you have had big parties in the past who is the one who gets on stage and does the MC or sings and gets the conga doing to start the party mood ?

6) Who seems to get the job of cooking the big family meals ? Or if eatting out organising it ?

7) Who is always on hand to tell the truth and say Yep you do look fat in that .

We laugh , we cry, we make time fly.

Best friends are we my sister,s and me ..

Catherine, don't know you at all, only from your threads on here. But I lost my mum when I was 36, so can understand how you feel, I treat my aunt my mum's sister as a mother now, we are very close, she could not really be my mum as she is only 11 years older. I am so glad I have got my Auntie Ann though, and MIL is also good to me.

There are lots of lovely ladies on here - how are you going to pick?

(((((Hugs))))))

for everyone who misses their mums.

Jean RIP 1933 - 1991 - as I loved her so I miss her.

ButtercupFields Report 25 Jan 2008 08:13

What a lovely thread and I am absolutely amazed and delighted that some lovely folks have put my name forward as a potential cyber Mum for our Catherine:-) Thank you.

In the past, I believe I was adopted as mummykins for Daisy, Joan, Em, Lemon, Wendy and others. But as I was inclined to forget them, they often had to remind me, and I don't think I was very good at it:-)

I am also a bit forgetful and your birthday would go by, Catherine, without a sweet Motherly card with nice words. I would probably say the wrong things in time of trouble. The only advice I ever give is "dump him/it/her/them" or :have a Baileys and all will be well".... and that is not always what is needed.

So, dear Catherine, I feel I have not the qualities needed in this case but I am humbled and gratified to think that I have been nominated.

There are so many wonderful people on GR, I am sure you will find your ideal Mum. You deserve it.

XXX BC

ps....Hayley wants to know that she is still my number one...*sighs....lol....

Oh Catherine bless you, i know how hard it is as you know Ive lost my mum too, its a couple of days away from the anniversary of her death.

There are a few on here that i feel are like cyber mums to many of us, Joyous, Daff, BC, Joy from the Boro, Sue M, Purple Diamond to name but a few who are always there to give us cyber hugs when times are tough and listen to our problems but most of all we can have good times with like we did our real mums.

I know the one i feel is closest to my mum but you will know the right one for you.

Good luck hope you find your cyber mum soon xx
