He is improving every day now.................one of his drains is coming out today and he is eating a little.

He has to have another scan tomorrow and if all is well he will be home in the next few days........light at the end of the tunnel at last :))

Pleased to read things are going well for your husband and that he's feeling stronger.
Hugs for your Mum too. You do have to laugh ,I know,(along with the tears) my Dad used to gather up everyone's slippers and stash them under his bed. Poor souls. xx

I think, with my cookery skills, the urge to make the meals himself will get him up and about :))

Luckily, he can eat more or less what he wants when he comes home...............as he loves his meat and veg meals, they are quite easy to do.

I am so pleased its all working out well, giggled at the when he starts to call to moan I know he is on the mend GRIN.

Hope visit to mum is ok and visit not too stressful and that she is on a good day. My freinds mum has the same thing - somedays visits are good others she is in tears.

Morning everyone.......................he is off the morphine and making much more sense now.

He has had a chest x-ray and all is well there, but he is chesty as he gave up smoking to prepare for the operation and has some congestion to get rid of yet.

He has stopped flashing now and gone all coy :))

The lady visitor opposite came in yesterday holding a hand over her eyes and giggling like mad...........my husband grinned sheepishly, so I guess her husband had told mine what happened.

He's had a walk round the ward and is allowed some food today....................the first since Monday, but it's been a good weight loss plan as he needed to lose a few pounds.

They are allowed mobiles, so I took his in for him last night.................as soon as he starts phoning me to moan about something, I'll know he's well on the mend! lol

It looks like he will be in until at least Monday or Tuesday.............I am visiting Mum first today, then going on to the hospital straight from there.

Our eldest daughters are taking our youngest bowling today and my sister is doing the dog-walking duties.............it will be so much easier when he's home.
