Hi Babs,Jude and Jackie, it can get quite embarrasing at times can't it. The young nurse was only a tiny thing and she was trying to pull me then push me, I was struggling with arms flailing, couldn't use my legs as I have to literally move them by hand. In the end the technichan came from behind the screen and she was nearly crying, but we did it between us. The worst thing was that they make you drink all this water and won't let you go to the loo, gawd knows what would have happened if it went on for much longer.

Hi Liz, elegant I am not, put on a lot of weight with not being able to move much and I go with a bang, mind you, the weight helps when I fall down the stairs, no breakages yet.

Here's a gentle careful hug Caz, how much you have to cope with and here's me moaning about a little bit of pain and stiffness. Glad you manage to laugh at some things tho, I am sure you are very elegant and manage to fall gracefully when it happens.
Take care, will be thinking of you and hope the other scan can be done more easily next week.

Thank you all for your positive thoughts and hugs, glad you made them gentle. I am a bit overcome with it all and feel a bit weepy, thank you Lynn for putting this thread up.
I don't really know what to say except tell you what is happening to me. I have secondary breast cancer in pelvis, spine and arm bones, as well as cyst like lumps on body. I saw my oncologist just before Christmas and because I have a few more lumps on my body, she thinks the tablets are not working now. I had to have two urgent scans as she thinks the cancer could have spread to my internal organs. The bone scan I should have had on Friday, but they couldn't find a vein to get the radioactive stuff into me, they tried for an hour then sent me home, I have to go next week now.
The CT scan was this morning and I was terrified of them not getting the canula in again, this was the important scan. Will it or won't it show anything up.
Your thoughts must have worked because she got it in first time and I had my scan. Oh yes and showed myself up by not being able to get off the bed lol. I also have bad deterioration at base of spine, arthritis in three places and nerve damage which makes my legs not listen to my brain and I keep falling over, very dignified, to finish it all off, two slipped discs.
I have to have a hospital bed at home, a touch of a button and can have it any way that's comfy, that's why I had them laughing this morning 'cause I can't lay flat, then couldn't get up. Youv'e got to laugh though, thanks again all you lovely people. This board is like a lifeline to me, and this morning it's been proved.

A very grateful Caz xxxxxxxxxx
