You're right there Ally
Unfortunatly children love to play with animals, they don't think about consequences so the owner must do that for them.

It protects both child and dog. Small children are capable of poking eyes pulling tails etc cant blame the dog in that instance its lack of supervision

Yes Ally now thats being responsible.

Only time I was irresposible with a dog was when my last dog was being attacked by a German Shepherd.I slipped my dogs lead to allow him to get away.Got called all the names under the sun for that one,I knew the dog would run for home!

i have a very daft x breed. never barks , loves all other animals (licks guinea pig and hamster), would lick a burglar or anyone who attacked me to death, adores children and in general brain dead.
but its my fault, i made her this way so she would be safe with my grandchildren, still i would not leave her unattended with a small child

I agree wholeheartedly. We have a beautiful shepherd cross that will sit with day old chicks on his back and the cat puts its head in his mouth but i still wouldnt leave him with a small child. Much as I trust him

Clueless Report 29 Dec 2007 10:28

If you have a dog no matter what breed you have to commit 150% into training them and caring for them
Too many people aren't willing to do that!

Ha remembered lol :0)))

dont think its always the dogs ally, sometimes its the way they are brought up and the people who own them. they are a status symbol in areas like this
