Well those who are staying with us over Christmas and for my daughter's wedding will have a shock......as you know Lou, I have a senile deaf old cat, who has taken to yowling at any time of the day, including in the night......and we have to sleep with the bedroom door open, because she cries to get in......so we will be in full view of the guests, and they will be woken by the cat........nothing that can be done, I will just have to warn them......

My four leg companion has just come for a cuddle as someone was just letting of fireworks just before.

George is well trained to give a little whine after we have been at my parents place for a couple of hours and I can have a break from the continuous moaning they seem to do about everything under the sun when I am there, as I have to take puppy for a walk.

Ah Joy now you have cottoned on. Though we have never put our dogs in kennels hey it is another good one to get rid of those tele sales that are trying to sell you holidays and holiday homes. Not lying either.

A friend of mine was going to get a pup for xmas, but she has decided she will wait till after xmas as there will no doubt be plenty unwanted ones around.

Margaret Report 19 Dec 2007 15:58

I sed to breed and show Yorkshire Terriers. I had a resputation of being 'funny' because no way would I let anyone have a puppy in December. If they really wanted one come the end of January I would be more amenable provided I knew they had the time and facilities to look after it, and, (probably going to offend here) I would not let anyone with children under 3 have one. I think children are too young under three to realise that their boisterous play can cause untold damage to such a tiny dog. Anyway, those days are gone and now I have just one yorkie of my own over which I behave stupidly !! .... she has an enclosed tunnel-looking bed, fur lines and I made - for the winter - a duvet to fit and a fleece cover for it. She's as snug as a bug in a rug through these cold winter nights. STupid I know, but that's me. On the subject of Christmas presents, she has her share and I have bought a fleece blanket and two revolting looking pigs ears for my grandchildrens dog. I know, I want my head looking at !!!!!

Margaret, my cat has a bed warmer lol.
You put it in micro for 6 mins and it stays warm for about 7 hr. She also has an iglo bed with a fleece bed inside.
Well, it's a cold kitchen at night.
