:-o

Aha!!! Now i understand Errol....

Errol has sent me a Pm ...no offence has been taken by me so lets keep this thread as lovely as it had become please....
Just to explain about my choice of title....
I had a freezing morning yesterday (although it was even colder this morning) - i had to defrost the water bowls which had all frozen solid - anyway, i was upset and tired that people can so easily just 'dump' their pets, with absolutly no thought as to what would happen to the animal...
My title ''Time to dump your dogs'' was sarcastic, it was a blatent dig at those people who calendar watch until it's December and time to throw out the old....
This thread began as a thread where i was upset, cold and angry...Yet it has turned into a lovely thread full of animal lovers...
It wasn't intended to 'rally support'', it was really just a sound off....

There is another thread by Chris - which has some great ideas and storys about animals and shelters etc, and it would be silly to change the title of this now and have two threads the same...

Again i would like to thank all who have posted on here, it really helps lift my mood - when you've been where i have all mornings it's nice to get back with some responsable loving owners...
Thankyou

My baby is currently on his double bed in the spare room snoring the night away - I learnt many things when I got a dog, like how loud they can snore - Michelle

MarionfromScotland

MarionfromScotland Report 14 Dec 2007 10:56

My last cat used to snore too lol

Toothfairy

Toothfairy Report 14 Dec 2007 10:58

LOL Michelle,
Now i take that snore and multiply it by 8...Thats what i'm listening to, pmsl.....
(Although i have a husband who can drown them all out!)
My lot (cats included) are all worn out after chasing the squirrels round the garden - five cats and three dogs and the squirrel still gives em the slip, lol, i'm sure it does it on purpose, gets them wound up then sits in the tree watching them chase eachother!!!

The snoring is not that bad really, when I first got George (two years old from the pound) he used to scream in his sleep. First time I heard it I wondered what the heck was going on, thought it was the town fire signal - Michelle

Oh bless him....
Oh, i just want to love him and hug him and squeeze him...Poor baby, he must have had it rotten before he found you, and to have bad dreams too....Awww

Go poke him Michelle, wake him up and give him a massive cuddle from me :-)))))))

I am not going to poke him he looks far to content on the bed and I will get the "what are you doing now" look if I do anyway.

Nobody greets you when you come home tired like your dog or cat. They listen to all your troubles and support you when your sad, they never whisper behind your back and give you unlimited love-who could ask for more?

Nudged for 'Mark'

Thousands of dogs will be left homeless this Christmas simply because they get in the way of humans festive arrangments - sickening...

On the subject of my work however, i am pleased to say that i bought over £500 worth of toys, treats and food for the RSPCA at Bradford today and the shop (pets at home) donated even more for us to take, making it over £700 worth of goodies...
There are still some people in the world who give up valuable time to care for these peoples cast offs at Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems 'Mark' has either removed/ had removed his thread...

Sorry, but i have NO sympathy for someone who comes on the boards saying they need rid of a dog as it'll spoil their Christmas...
i hope the dogs either finds a loving forever home or finds peace..
