When my son got married I said to my future daughter-in-law - I'm going to be a bitch to you cos I had a rotten mother in law!! Only joking of course, I was determined to be a lovely one and with her it really is easy - I love her like the daughter I never had - cannot think of a single thing I don't like about her |

When a family member had her first son, whose father didn't want him, his fathers' mother said, he doesn't look like him. He is now his double.. Unfortunately lol |

When my son was eventually born, after two miscarriages and endless weeks in hospital, I was over the moon and we called him Philip. When she first came to see him after his birth her first words were "What d'you want to go and call him a name like that for!!" I was mortified. Even moreso when I discovered doing my family tree that her father was called Philip!! Didn't know at the time just a name I had always liked. Just one of many many hurtful things she said to me over the years - I never ever retaliated |
