If it is not true then the reputation of the RSPCA has taken a bit of a battering on this site alone - wonder if they would take action on that? Food for thought.

not aggression - exasperaton is the word - I feel for Angie whichever way things are going - if it ain't true then I feel sorry for her for other reasons, and as an animal lover I feel sorrow over that - one way or another it'll all come out right in the end - that's all any of us can hope for and I'm sure we all do in spite of all the frustration

I understand your point - but who knows whats really going on. All I can say I have pointed out the legal position with regards to the dogs not being signed for and can confirm as I have done on several occasions Litigation solicitor would send a letter for about £100.00 + VAT. Could be cheaper if you went to smaller firm.

Lou , your post is not agressive at all , You have offered help time and time again .The question about Angies thread being true or not is not the issue here. The welfare of the animals and the reputation of the RSPCA is ..
You obviously want to see this issue brought to a close and I respect you for this .

I do not think you are agressive I think you are exasperated that you have tried every way which way to offer help and if the situation is genuine and there are dogs pining somewhere - your help from the goodness of your heart has been denied.

I have just been told my post sounds aggressive....

May i just point out that i am very passionate about animal welfare and have dedicated the past 13 years of my life to it...

I have to back Lou - I thought it very strange and peculiar that from the outset of Angie's complaint that the 'RSPCA inspector' left her with no paperwork of any sort (as I understood it).

I have a 15 yr old dog here who has been a pain in the butt all his life and won't change but if for any reason he should disappear I should move heaven and earth, use everything and everyone I could think of and leave no stone unturned.

And were I given the choice of someone who had some clout with RSPCA or going to a solicitor I know which avenue I would take.

Toothfairy Report 30 Nov 2007 20:22

Ok - Here goes..
*Deep breath*

I think it's all 'twaddle' - putting it VERY lightly...
First of all the police wern't called...Then they were, then she was 'going' to contact them...
Then there was the Local newspapers - The sun and daily Star, lol - Then she 'was' contacting a solicitor and then didn't, then she did, then they couldn't do anything, then she 'was' again....
Then there was the BBC, ITV, Mps etc...that she was, did, didn;t and 'might be' contacting....
I have wasted the time and effort of RSPCA employees who could have been working on other things but were trying to help me locate Angies dogs...We have repeatedly asked for more info as they (the RSPCA) can find no connection between Angie and two dogs (of any discription)....

I have tried time and again to be supportive - and have been ignored, over and over - to the point of being Invisible!!!!!!!
I have offered my very valuable time, for free, without a thought for my own personal situation (my 5 year old daughter has just had an op - which has failed to save her hearing, and is due to have another two, one on her ears, the other on her right eye...) - I seriously have better things to do with my time than be taken for a ride by a total Hoax....

If it's not - I challenge you - send me the full information and i WILL locate the dogs - this very hour!!
Either put up or shut up....!

I cannot believe this has gone on for so longANY person on here with pets KNOWS in their heart that they would do everything in their power - IMMEDIATLY, to locate their much loved animal...

I've not once posted on these threads. But I have to say I can't believe that Angie isn't taking Lou up on her offer.

I know if it were my dogs I'd be banging on every door of opportunity.
I'd take Lou's help as well as the solicitor. Belts and braces and all that.

Maddiecow

Maddiecow Report 30 Nov 2007 19:43

Lou maybe she has seen a Litigation Solicitor. Each time she posted a solicitor couldn’t help I responded with the different fields solicitors work in and also directed her to the law society to get a Lit Sol to help in her area by post code.

I am very confident however this will be a just a matter of a threatening letter, when the file is first opened and any additional help, would keep the costs down for her.

MarionfromScotland

MarionfromScotland Report 30 Nov 2007 19:34

Well Lou,

I am backing you all the way and I know a lot of others are too.
And you can all call me nasty if you like.

CB - I cannot speak for others but for myself - I don't want to argue the 'case' at all - but i have to be true to myself and my beliefs..I am being honest, this is how i feel - it's my opinion and i have no need to argue with anyone as my feelings will not change reguardless of whats being said....

Toothfairy Report 30 Nov 2007 17:29

Sorry - i hope this doesn't offend too much...but...

I am seriously questioning the credability of this scenario.....
Why oh why are ALL my offers COMPLETELY ignored??? Angie hasn't made a single attempt to address me in person!!!! Those of you who have dogs know full well that if they had been 'taken' from your home you would do anything in your power to get them back...The story has had so many flaws it is hard to follow anyway...According to the previously deleted thread the 'solicitor' could do nothing....

I am not the only one who feels this way (don't worry, i won't be naming names) but i cannot be true to myself and would feel extreemly two faced if i didn't voice how i am feeling...

Hi Lou, I did mention on my thread how much you've done to help others on here, re their pets, or animals generally.
I still hope Angie will get in touch with you, with the necessary information.
Take care.
