	Thank you Errol I have put this up to ask people IF they want to sign it. But as a mother I would want justice for my child whether it was murder or manslaughter.And regardless of who did it. I am supporting this mother in the fact that 3 years is not long enough for such a crime. Jan x

	I always like to be in full possession of facts before signing a petition from a stranger. Could I just point out that the child was not murdered. The father was convicted of manslaughter. Also, this is not the first petition that the mother has instigated. It was taken to the House of Commons over three years ago following a petition regarding the length of time between death and burial due to two post mortems needing to be carried out. This formed part of the legal process. As far as the current petition is concerned, criminals are NOT automatically released after serving only half of their sentence. A mother's (and father's) grief is a terrible thing and we all cope in many different ways. I just thought it was important to give a small bit of background information for balance.
