I can't begin to imagine how people survive sleeping on the streets in this cold weather, and of course some don't. Some like my residents are warm and safe they will be housed from the centre, but its not over for them yet, most have suffered badly in the past months they have either fled from violence or abuse of some kind, they arrive distraught with young kiddies clinging to them. some arrive with just the clothes they are wearing. Its not just women that suffer abuse i have had men as old as 75yrs. who was treated so badly he could no longer live at home. There is no age limit to becoming homeless and the reasons are many., don't judge these people as you really don't know what they may have endured.

Shirley Ann, I haven't forgotten those duvets, just have had too much on my plate here. Will try and make up a bag of things to go with them and get them to you, are you or your o.h. likely to be near Norwich after the beginning of December, would have to be afternoon or evening meet up.

I went out at the weekend, volunteers were sleeping out for the night collecting money towards the homeless centre. I have not been able to actually sleep out for 2 years now as the old joints won't allow me! So I go instead to help with giving out food. I was pleased to see that there were not as many actual homeless sleeping out on Sunday night and my gosh it was freezing cold but, I was saddened to see that those that were homeless were so young. I was talking to one young man and he was telling me how he became homeless and it was so sad. I gave a few of them extra blankets.

I ALWAYS THINK OF THE HOMELESS ALL YEAR. COULD BE ANYONE OF OF US. WE SHOULD TRULY THANK OUR LUCKY STARS. I LIKE TO BUY FROM THE SHELTER CHARITY SHOP, WHEN I SEE ONE. EVERY PENNY COUNTS.

WOULD LOVE TO DO THE KIND OF WORK THAT GRANNIE DOES, HELPING THE LESS FORTUNATE.

Daughter has taken the boxes full of basics some sweets and clothing for the homeless, she will take them to those she knows of on Christmas evening.

Hope it improves their day to know that a stranger has thought of them this year.

Hate the fog we've been havig too, somehow it gets right through to your bones.

Good wishes to one and all
