Nice to see some of the oldies (ahem!!!)
I still like to see familiar names, all this name changing is off putting,I like to see the funny
Christmas names though, thats having a bit of fun.
But to see it all the time, you never know who is who.
I guess I'm an oldie Dec 2003.

If you click on My Threads, you will be surprised at the number of people who have left, names you see no more.

Have to admit it used to be a great site, but there were heated discussions that nobody can deny, but nothing on the scale of nastyness that has gone on here.
Hence the reason I dont post hardly at all these days.

Hi Ann

I'm an oldie too, although i left then came back so my number is newer.

I hardly ever pop in now, and post even less. I have no idea who most people are and the bullying and GR's inability to deal with it made the site an uncomfortable place to be for many of us.

It's a real shame as i have made some good friends on here, met lots of lovely people and had a few life changing experiences, the Sahara being the most obvious one.

I miss the old days, but life moves on i guess.

I am sure in a few years time the newer members will look back with the same feelings of nostalgia for the 'old days'....maybe we should all come back then as the newbies lol

Dawnie...the parsnip threads were absolutely hysterical! lol. I remember me and Em were on the 'I love parsnips' side of the argument and kept our thread near the top by posting parsnip recipes. I never knew you could do so much with a parsnip! lol

I'm still around but not so much anymore.

The boards have changed so much since I joined but it is nice to know there are such a lot of 'old' members still around.

I have to say I agree with Dee, I do think the wit and camaraderie is less than it was when I first joined in June 2005 ish ish, am not saying that it isn't still here because it is but just not as much.

I'm very old...been here since December 2002 and still posting now and then.

I miss everybody too...I know things change, and we have new members now, but much of the cameraderie and wit seems to have gone.

Also this constant name-changing is very confusing and now with the new set up many have only their first names showing and I don't always recognise them.

Maybe I am just toooooooo old???
