Thank you both for asking, my dad is on the mend thankfully. After the injection he had to help with the pain and sorting out antibiotics to help with the infection I am so relieved to say that he is on the up so to speak.

The weather hasn't been too bad today, I actually managed to get two loads of washing dry so that's not bad. I hate having washing indoors ont he maiden so you do have to take advantage of any sunshine.while it's here!

I got stuck into the housework today Jacky - it was pretty desperate, so much going on over the last week or so, a spot of child-minding for one of my sisters who went to hospital with dad and mum and looking after another lovely little niece tomorrow - I love being on school holidays and having the opportunity to help family out with child care. Looking forward to having Hannah round tomorrow and Vicki is calling in again with Leigha - a lovely day ahead :)

Gosh, its been one hell of a long day - glad to be home....

The weather brightened up here this afternoon, but for how long - its anyones guess....Lol

I'm off tomorrow and i am going to get stuck into the housework, i always feel better when i have spent the day catching up with it.

My daughter goes to the ball this friday, it is for the navy and she is going with my sons friend (no ties)..Lol, she put her gown and trimmings on for me to see....WOW, i know she's my daughter - but she looked stunning !!!!!

I rang my son and asked him to ask Paul to get some photos for me, he said he will and that there will be a photographer there.

I am on my rota day on friday and my son is having a long weekend fishing with my OH.......so i will be alone.......YEAH YEAH YEAH...Lol - what am i like !!

Mixed day weather wise - got pretty wet this morning going to visit Leigha and Vicki with my niece. No worries though, soon dried out.

Dad was in hospital for a series of tests from 9 o'clock this morning they found out that he had an infection in his stomach with has been causing the nausea and loss of apetite and also causing the swelling in his legs which gave the impression it was a flare up of the osteomylitus. Mum said tonight that after some injections and pain killers etc he is looking better already. It looked like they were going to keep him in because they ran a lot of tests including ecg that they hadn't had results back from. anyway he is home, which he is pleased with so good all round.

Who is this stranger knocking at this door? Oh it's me! Well and truly very late and fancy popping in at this hours, hope I haven't disturbed you both. :)

It has been such a long time, have been mad busy in school and finally we have the summer holidays - at last. We got into the new school for the last week before we broke up and it soooo lovely, Demolition will go ahead for the two old schools which I think is a great shame but I suppose that's progress. As far as anyone interested in local and family history is concerned it's another nail in the proverbial coffin, another establishment stacked with local history disappearing.

Jacky so glad you had a lovely holiday especially after your trouble with the absess - you must be sick of problems with your mouth/teeth. Poor you. And you had a lovely holiday in Cape Verdi too. A well deserved holiday I think. Rose, so sorry to hear about your OH uncle, to face going through amputation, having that posponed and then finally not being strong enough to make it in the end. Sending my best wishes to all the family, such a sad time.

Little Leigha is getting bigger and even more active, fourteen months old and running round the house. My friend gave me a stair gate for when she comes here as she is like grease lightning if she even gets near the stair which she never manages without one of us swiftly behind her. Saying that, she's not very impressed with the gate and tried to climb through it the other day!

Been quite concerned about my Dad, he hasn't been to well recently. He was run over as a kid and has so many knock on problems from that. Added to which he suffers with diverticulitis and a flare up of osteomylitus. The antibiotics he has been prescribed for the osteomylitis has caused a serious loss of appetite and a constant feeling of nausea. He's got a hospital appointment tomorrow but is dreading being told he has to go in. My poor Mum is so worried about him. Fingers crossed he picks up and has good news tomorrow.

Well my firends, that's all my news in a nutshell, I aim to get on here again very soon and I will of course keep you posted on news of my Dad.
