thank you for your thoughts for my mum and dad. Mum is feeling much better and dad is slowly on the mend thankfully. It's long haul for him and mum is getting the doctor out to him tomorrow because he still doesn't have much of an apetite though it has improved slightly and he is still going through a lot of pain too. Let's hope he continues to improve and sooner rather than later.

Have seen an awful lot of Leigha and Vicki and we had Leigha for the weekend. We took her down to the beach too and she loved walking over the damp sand. She wasn't too pleased when she tripped over and got sand on her hands though! And on her little shoes, we soon clenaed that up. We took her to town today. Jacky - have you heard about that 'urban beach' that was in Williamson Sq, well we went along there. Hmmmm, not very impressed though can you imagine deck chairs out in the middle of the ciry centre and a hook the duck stall and a massive sand tray for youngsters to play in. I suppose it was good really just probably expected more based on the hype it had received on the radio.

Looking after my brothers girls tomorrow, two lovely girls. When the youngest was young, preschool she did nothing but scream and shout all the time and has now turned into a lovely little seven year old. Her sister is going into year 6 - I can't believe she is that old already.
Where does the time go? We say that so often but it really does fly by.

Right my friends, off to get some beauty sleep - much needed. Leigha may have slept last night but I was so concious of her and woke up constantly. Up early for me tomorrow and my lovely Vicki and Leigha are coming back round again. Lokking forward to the 26th because Joanne will be home from Ireland for a couple of weeks, can't wait.

Helloooooooo !!

Went to town, i only bought a handbag....and my daughter bought some "going out " clothes. We had some lunch and then went for a cocktail in the Sugar Palm, the owner led us to the VIP....part....Lol, we were laughing out heads off, then he came in to us with our Strawberry Dackeries - they were lovely, he had put strawberries all over them..Lol..........well, they cost us £5. 50p each !!!! We thouroughly enjoyed them as well.

Doing nothing tonight - my feet are sore and i am tired now.

The weather has been lovely here too Rose, glad you have been out enjoying it - good for you !!

The last 2 wks since i have been home from my holidays my collegue who usually does the emergency response with me has been on her holidays, so i am totally cream crackered, it really is hard when we are on our own...but..............i have booked next thur and fri off....along with the following week.....YEAH !!!!

Haven't we all been busy bees then!

Hope you got all your bits and bobs Jacky, sure you did seems to me like you're our professional shopper! lol

Dad is on the mend, they are still concerned that he might be developing osteomylitus (sp) and they are checking him out for diverticulitis but he is on the mend. It's all taken it's toll on mum tho, she ended up at the doctors with strees and anxiety and they are also looking into angina. Fingers crossed all is well for her.

I have had a bit of a Gok Wan inspired moment today. Me and OH have been invited to a very special anniversary/birthday party held by a very influential business acquaintance and when I say 'posh' well I really mean it. Anyway, when we had my mum and dad's 50th anniversary two years ago I paid a fortune for some lovely gold diamante shoes bag and jewellery and had my gown made for me. I have been determined to be able to use the bag and jewellery again with a change of dress. I bought a very floaty double layered black dress for a night out at christmas and I also have a lovely skirt with a very ornate beaded waistband. Just to see the effect, I have taken the waistband off the skirt which I have hardly worn, attached some black chiffon, stitched all the edges etc and have made it into a band that sits under the bust line and can either tie at the front or back - I'm made up with the result. This is my fall back in case I don't see anything I like. I've spotted a beautiful black and gold pashmena too which I'm going to order to just finish it all off. As I say \I now have a standby outfit that I'm completely happy with just in case!

Well my friends, another week over, where does the time go hey! Time for me to go well past my bedtime - again!

Raining here, its supposed to dry up this afternoon - we'll see !

Going into town later for some bits and bobs, want to go the £1 shop as well for my sweets, and other bits.

House looks nice now, the carpet on the stairs is cream and gets rotten but it has dried nice - what a bad buy....i'll look at getting another one - dark colour this time.....Lol

I have cleaned the house from top to bottom - it was a pigsty....Lol

I need to clean the carpet on the stairs but i will leave this until just before bed, i wont be walking up/down then when its wet !
