hi folks,
im glad this thread is still going as i myself have just been in hospital for a major op as the last one didnt work and i met a lovely woman who has breast cancer and had a vasectomy and rebuild.
she is now facing chemo. i am trying to get her to go online to a forum that she can get her comfort and advice, or even just someone to be there to help her through.i had thought of here but dont think she'd want to pay for genes for tracing her folks.
i have already given her the uk cancer site.but if you know of one where she can have a live chat please let me know.

Hiya Rose, sorry to hear you wasnt well over the holiday, i bet your daughter was thinking of you and her daughters all day - i suppose its down to stubbornness and what her hubby wants, stay on the sideline, she'll be in touch soon. Gosh, your poor mates mind must have been persecuted to have done that - God help her, i'll keep her in my prayers tonight.

We have been sent home from work the last 2 afternoons, the roads are horrendous.....i have given my daughter my car, she has to drive to the far side of Rochdale daily and she has a mercedes which has back wheel drive and she has been having a nightmare with it, she has been off work since the weekend, i worry about her, so told her to take mine and i'll do Shanks Pony....Lol.

weather really bad snow must gooooooooo. not going out much its so cold , taking nathan to school and back thats about it ...

had some horrific news ...my childhood best friend till about 13 she has drove her car of our cliffs at marsden grotto . we mt up when i was married , we lost touch , her son goes out with my sisters neice of her hubbys side . i'm really shocked wish i could of helped her in her troubles whatever they were .

Well, its been a great Christmas having my family around me, got some lovely gifts of my kids on Christmas morning then after lunch, they passed me another - it was a long weekend in Cork- Ireland in a swanky hotel, i go on the 15the of this month....

Hope you had a jolly time too - you deserve it after all the hard work !!

I've decided to stay in tonight - i'm really shattered but i'm off work now until tuesday....YEAH !!

Hello there my friends, I hope all are well. The panic day is over for another year now, thank goodness! It's a lovely time of year, all the lights up everywhere you look and people tho stressed are happy.

Well, so much has happened since I last made an appearance here. Some very long stories which I won't bore you with. FiL has been in and out of hospital and caught MRSA into the bargain. We got our eldest home from ireland at the end of Novermber - for good! And I'm thrilled. So she's back living with us for the time being, looking for work

We're all well, Leigha is growing fast and entertaining us all completely. We've been busy decorating too so it's all been a bit mad.

Hopefully it won't be long before I pop back on again. Just in case, best wishes for a happy new year!

hubby usually helps as he is better . one of my pressies i wrapped hubby said it lookedlike a turkey ready for oven ...........lol.

We all got sent home from work an hour early due to the weather conditions, not much but every second helps.....

I am shattered along with every other woman i think, hubby helps out but i do most of the preperations, i dont mind - i like it....Lol

Sorry i havent been on much, i've had a few problems with my computer, i've sorted them now but i still have probs logging off.....

All the shopping done now - Thank God...Lol. Just need my fresh stuff on Christmas eve. All my wrappings done as well - i'm a terrible wrapper uper, i make a right pigs ear of it !!

I dont finish until Christmas eve, i hope to get an early dart, then i will cook my turkey and gammon....oooh, i'm starving just thinking of it - slobber slobber...ROFL

Take it easy in this weather were having - sooo slippy underfoot, i looked a show today - i went to work in my ugg boots with my kecks tucked in.....ah well - its Christmas...Lol

Been a busy bee this last week - like many others...Lol

Had a fantastic night on friday, there were 400 in the suite we were in and it was magic....one song that was sang brought the place to its feet, not one person was sitting - even the fella who was singing said he'd never seen this before - and joined us !!!! The best night i have EVER had........the food was nice as well...Lol

Nearly got all my Christmas goodies in now, last week i wrapped over 140 pressies and set up 6 hampers.....i am having a little rest today - i feel i need it now.

Hope all your Christmas preperations are coming along nicely.

........went to see nathans panto tonight , it was good , nathan as tiny tim gave us all a laugh . very proud of him ...mind you scooge played a great part .
..................had my night out on saturday with jackys half of family had a great time .... my daughter karen came felt ashamed of her turnedup with a very loud friend which was very uncomfortable , luckily they left early
..........looking forward to xmas as my son has decided they are going to stay at my house so i can see all the kiddies open the presents
......................santa is coming to my house this year ...lol.

Hello,

What a busy busy time for us all, i have been going food shopping from work each night - i build hampers up for my kids, and some small hampers up for some of my old clients from my other job - my arms are down to the floor !!!

I was out all weekend looking for a dress for my works Christmas party on friday, i never got one - they were all above the knee and i'm a bit over the hill for that....Lol. My daughter rang me today, she was in a shop in manchester and found one she thought i would like, she brought it down before and its lovely and fits like a glove - she knows me so well !!!!

Rose, i got your lovely Christmas card today - Thank you - you made my day !!!

Just going to relax tonight and put "panic" on the back boiler for a while - i will put deckies and tree up on saterday - if i havent a hangover ROFL
