Good evening all

Sorry I haven't been on for about four days it is now. Thursday night my comp wouldn't log onto internet despite the fact that my comp is main one and the other comp in our room and daughter's laptop could both connect. Tried everything, even tried pulling out cables and putting them back in again - no joy. Tried taking main internet cable out completely and changing it for another one - no good. Put all the original cables back in their place, that still didn't work. Damn, completely lost then what to do. Leigha's daddy came down who knows a bit about computers and when he tried to switch it on cos he was sure he knew what the problem was, wouldn't switch on! GRRRRRRR! Busy day Saturday cos we had a surprise party for our headteacher at one of my colleague's house so I set to yesterday trying to reboot it and eventually managed to do that and hey presto, we're up and running again.

Party went well and head was totally surprised, didn't have a clue what we were up to.

All the plays went well on Wed and Thurs and the parents and grandparents were delighted.

After school closes at 2 on Thurs, we're having a celebration in school in our staff room with nibbles and wine and whatever spirits are left over from the party at the weekend. Anyone who is anybody is walking or using public transport that day to ensure we can all have a lovely drink together - lovely. We're supposed to be on strike on Wed and Thurs but it's too important for us to be there so unfortunately I'm certainly not going out. I feel awful in one way but in an other I don't because I voted 'no' to the strike and with the upset and stress among the staff and a possible early school closure if we did strike, I felt it was more important to see the end of this term out before we consider going on strike.

Anyway, glad to be back on line and able to come on here and chat. Noticed that new hundred sneaking on, well done to you Rog!

Goodnight to all for now, off to make a leaving card for our headteacher and then an earlyish night. We bought brand new bikes on Sunday. I haven't ridden a bike for years, like tens of years so I was a tiny bit wobbly when I first got on. Going to practice a lot before I unleash myself onto unsuspecting road useres. We've got the marine front with the beautiful gardens just literally down the road from us so we've been cycling along the sea wall which takes you a good few miles. Jacky, you may know Waterloo where we live and started from and we went right through to the other end of Blundellsands to the coastguard station there and then back again carrying on past Waterloo and onto this side of Seaforth and then home. Not bad and I am getting a lot more confident. Watch ourt road users is all I can say!

Rose, my uncle had a cine camera when we were little, he took some footage unbeknown to us, years later he showed it to us.........OMG, myself and my sisters had bottle green polo necks on what my Mam had knitted - all too big on us AND my Mam would openly admit she could NOT knit......The shame !!!! Oh, but we had a cracking laugh, and my Mam said at least i kept you all warm !!!!.......ROFL - Oh, for the good old days !
