Unfortunately for her, Dee was one of those who frequently tried to start threads which required a bit of thought to answer and more often than not vanished without trace. It's not surprising she's lost heart.

Oh piffle, I return from holiday and find the lovely Dee missing. I often missed her quizzes, especially the beginning (she gets up too early for me:) but I often jumped in at the end. If you saw her name on a thread you knew it would be interesting and I like her very much.

Come back soon Dee.

Hi Dee...being temporarily (I hope) housebound at the moment I am in need of some mental stimulation. I can only watch David Attenborough so many times lol.

Well, it goes without saying that Dee will be missed badly. I was always too slow for the Quizzes and if I did get a correct answer, I would have the genders all mixed up!. Apart from the great threads/quizzes, Dee has beautiful manners and would never neglect anyone on any of her threads, or make fun of them, except in the gentlest of ways.

I shall miss her a lot, and I DEMAND her return.. lol..BC XX

To end speculation I have asked for this to be added.

Well what can I say??

First of all I would like to say thank you to everyone who has contacted me, and in case people are wondering, I wasn’t pushed - I jumped

Secondly, this is not the first time I have left. Sometime ago I left GR because of the negativity on the boards. I was then persuaded to come back

When I came back I was able to do a search and find the book review threads and other threads that I had added to before I left, they showed up with my old board name, which was fine, I had no problem with that.

Since the new system has been introduced I have been trying to track down some of those old threads. Things I added pre 2006. It seems that now that the new system has been introduced it is still possible to search for (to use an example) Greaders, but now all of my old reviews are shown as having been added by other members or ex members.

I found it particularly upsetting that a thread I had done on the life of the family I was researching no longer shows on here as mine. The thread itself was based on an essay I had done for my University course, so it is disheartening to see that someone else is now shown as its author.

So basically, while I have no problem with things I have posted being credited to me, I do take exception to finding that they have been credited to someone else.

People will no doubt think I am overreacting by leaving, that may well be the case, but I am sufficiently aggrieved by what has happened to have come to the decision that I wish to have nothing further to do with the site.

I have met some brilliant people on here and made some good friends and I would like to send my best wishes to you all.

Dee i understand how you feel and after so very much hard work you put into it too. Please think about comeing back and letting your friends help you with this. If your reading this your know people do miss you and want you back on here, So get your but on here now.

In that case Dee, I can understand completely your reason for leaving.
I am still sorry to see you go though.
