Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 9 Sep 2007 01:23

I have stated my thoughts on many threads and still say this couple acted very oddly for people whose daughter had supposedly been snatched from her bed.
As for washing cuddle cat, I didn't know that, I don't read much about the case, only what is mentioned on these threads, and what I see on tv. and what I see is a cold and unemotional pair. One things always niggles me is that Madeleine's mother despite being a socalled devout Catholic etc still turns up at the church in sleeveless strappy tops. I always thougth it was expected that a worshipper would respect the church by not baring their shoulders etc inside the church, so why does she never have a wrap or something to cover herself? Surely she must know the 'rules' and have something suitable to wear, she does have clothes with sleeves etc.
My only thoughts and sympathy have been for Madeleine and I still hope she is found alive and well, but then again, maybe the emotional trauma she has gone through if she is found, would have been too much for her. I hate to think of her dead tho, bless her heart, what did she ever do to deserve such a dreadful twist to her life, and what will be the effect of all this on the twins.

Quote from Gerry McCann interview with News of the World online edition.

But he confessed he is frustrated they are not allowed to use any of the £800,000 Madeleine Fund— boosted by celebrity appeals including Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and soccer star David Beckham—to pay their mounting legal bills.

"It seems like a disaster that we've got this huge donated fund and now we're not allowed to use it for legal costs because we're under suspicion," said Gerry

I hope it stays that way, but begs the question where is the missing £200,005.00?

I do check what they say each day.

I honestly think that if they had admitted they had make a mistake in leaving the children alone and had not kept reiterating that they were responsible parents the tone of these posts may well have been more sympathetic.

It really was a surefire way of antagonising parents in the initial days.

KempinaPartyhat Report 9 Sep 2007 00:15

I like you lot have kids and sat and went through all the things a child would do if it woke up in the night and found mum and dad gone

4 years old
Woke up ....called mum then cried
or cried and called mum
how long would this go on?
or called got no answer went to find mum
couldnt find her.

What next??
If she went to find mum doors would have been open!!!!
Would a "good " parent leave a window open
would a child of 4 climb out the window?

I have signed a petition to freeze the fund, you can do so and not pay anything at (just press NEXT) on the payp*l page.

http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/freezethefund/index.html

you can just view the signatures if you want to.
