Member Since: May 2006 Posts: 12,556 Send Message	I'm not sure The McCanns asked to be made Assistants earlier which means that they would be entitled to hear more info and be more involved in the case. Whether the Portugese judge has granted them that status I don't know. As it stands at the mo. They are witnesses. Which means they are bound to answer questions and do not have the right to a lawyer. IF they are made Arguidos they would be entitled to remain silent and have the right to a lawyer. That's the way I have understood it from what I have read up on tonight xx

Member Since: May 2006 Posts: 12,556 Send Message	I understood they were going to sue T and Q a Portugese publication. I read that the writs had been issued. They allegedly threatened to sue a Portugese TV reporter but that came to nowt. No writ etc. Who knows? lol. I sure don't !! xx
