Dont add much to treads any more , but still look in to read what everyone is doing, i am only in Cardiff so I hope that I will be ale to put in an appearance it will be nice to add faces to names.

Hi Sue, have just looked on the map and it is a way but hopefully we can sort something out, is there a bus that comes anywhere near?

Just had a look and there is a service 460 from Cardigan to Carmarthen I think.

I live in Cilgerran, nr. Cardigan,about an hour by road to Llanelli but we don't have trains here....sob. If anyone is coming from Pembs I am more than happy to pay for the fuel..

Trixie, thanks for that, let's hope when I phone back Monday pm the chap says they are open till 8 so no one feels rushed, not that I expect you all to stay any longer than you want to, just don't want folk to feel pushed out at 5 pm.
If we do decide on this venue, we could start at 1pm if it is better for you all.

SueM - where do you have to come from as I am sure someone could give you a lift, or could you get a train to Llanelli station, it isn't far from there and one of us could pick you up?

Daffodil has suggested she could help anyone with a lift, she is in Newport.

Will write a list and post it later so we can be sure everyone is down and I have contact numbers for you all, just in case of hiccups.

I am getting so excited now. lol

Hi all,

Just got in from the beach, been there for a cuppa to get out of the house. Parking there is free for 3hrs if you have a blue badge and £2.20 for up to 4hrs for those that don't have one. Make sure if you use the car park that you get a ticket because they will clamp your car if you don't have one. Hope this info is of help.

I will be making one of my many visits as the 14th would have been my Dads' 75th birthday and the 21st is his 14th anniversary for leaving us...so it would be really rude if I didn't come back to Wales and raise a smile for him:0)))

Sounds ok to me, as well ... I don't think OH will come.. I think he will be watching Rugby, as the world cup is playing.

Right, have just phoned the M.Q. Visitor centre and the chap thinks that Saturday 15th Sept. is the last day that they stay open to 8 pm so no one will feel rushed as they would if it closed at the autumn time of 5pm or thereabouts.
If we do decide on this venue, it is easy to reach, as you leave the main road into Llanelli and can get to the carparks easily - it is very easily recognised as you get close by and well sign posted too,I seem to remember. i know we found the place easily enough last year even tho we didn't arrive till 8 pm.

One problem, lol, they don't sell alcohol !!!!
They do food and beverages tho so I am sure since many of you will be driving, you won't mind missing out on a tipple!

As I wouldn't have to drive anywhere I could change the time to anytime after 1pm if that helps folk travelling a bit of a distance.

Have to phone the man back tomorrow at the centre to make sure of the closing time, he will check things out for me and have the info when I call tomorrow so will let you all know asap.

Next week at this time we will have arrived and be settled in I hope. Keep your fingers crossed for bright sunny weather please, have three balconies to sit out on and don't want to have to wear a coat!

Hi folks, Jude, so glad you will be able to come along, I won't be bringing my o.h. as he isn't into internet friendships lol so will send him off somewhere for the afternoon, but I think there will be some more menfolk around and they could always go off for a stomp somewhere or find a pub with a tv if there is a match or something on.

And Jill from Bristol, yes you will be welcome if you can make it.

The best thing is for everyone to make sure I have a contact number for them before next Friday so if there are any hiccups I can get in touch.

Will make a decision on venue very soon, promise!
