Hooray, BC is back, from Dublin’s fair city, a city full of fair maids and muscular guys.

BC, I am partial to a drop of the black stuff and also that Whisky that starts with a J

A van did odd things in my road today; it was going backwards, without a man in it (or a woman). It did stop in a bush and luckily nobody was hurt, how I did laugh to watch him running along trying to stop it, and shouting at it

Folk on holiday, visiting family too
Or buffing and polishing, things to do

A hair cut today, to tidy my mop
And following that a look in a shop

Dog wants a walk, out in sun
Oh my oh my, my day is such fun

Trout to cook for us tonight
With a glass of vino, ah just right

Now I am off, with a book to look at
About days in the past, now fancy that.

Good day all,
A sunny trip away from this county for two nights.....visiting Norfolk, staying at an old coaching inn. ...floors sloping so walking to cupboard was uphill, - in that room!
I'm away too soon to city in Hants.which was country capital.
I will miss you all.

Good morning all...

Trying to whip up motivation to do vacuuming and dusting but as usual, not in mood.

How to stop my standards from slipping now not at work?

Sunny and warm in Lancs today. Liz

Happy Monday to you all

I will not visit much for six days.

My allocation of hours for gratis for this month did stop; I am now on pay as you go

I will miss my daily chats with folk, but will try to pop in occasionally

My OH should try a contract that allows for 24 hour a day allocation, but I don’t think that will occur, it is not a priority with him

Dee the Bibliomaniac Report 1 Sep 2007 17:01

Hi to you all

Chris, I am not far from that part you did visit

K*lly good to know it is sunny up north, it is down south too, but clouds loom ominously

That bit you did add was brill, our G*org*, and apt on this strand of this board

Oh B, your old dutch has found a star
For your stanza’s light up ours days
You charm us gals, from nigh and far
With all your witty, whimsical ways

Now what shall I drink do you think?
If I visit a bazaar for a blink
A plinkity plonk or a tiddlywink?
Two or four I could happily sink

If I get Brahms and Listz, what can I do
Driving my jam jar, that will not do
A Jo Baxi or a Rolls, they might do
I’d happily pick a Rolls, wouldn’t you?

Cash I shall want to pay for all this
An Ayrton will not go far I think
(It’s so costly if you go on the piss)
A pony I think buys a lot of drink

I think my loaf is about to malfunction
I must stop, I think, at this junction
(I must go my hubby wants food to munch on
And I must stop writing stanzas full of unction)

If you scratch your loaf and don’t know what I am saying, a translation is

Plinkity plonk – Vin blanc
Tiddlywink – a short drink
Bazaar – bar
Blink – drink
Jo Baxi – taxi
Jam jar - car
Ayrton - £10
Pony - £25
Loaf – H*ad

;-))))

I’ll talk about that rhyming slang
From London Town, ( by Bow),
For London guys and London girls
Talk funny don’t you know

Many many London girls
All want to do a bunk
And go to many bistro bars
Till awfully awfully drunk

But down in London Town you know
Drunk’s not a word of town
For lots of London folk would laugh
And simply put you down

Say London girls on boozy nights,
“Lubbly Jubbly” and “My Gawd”
And also “Brahms and Listz”, not pistz,
As rambling drunk as Lords

Say “Brahms and Listz” when you finish pistz
Following a night in a bar
And you think your brain is going to burst
Coz of that final jar

Brahms and Listz, I do insist
Is a way that all should talk
Following a boozy party girls
As you pull out that cork

And pour vino down your throat
Thinking “No tomorrow morn”
“Oh my gawd” you cry out loud
Next day: “Why was I born”.

Your brain is spinning, whirling round
All dizzy as a top
And now you say what you always say
“No drinking, I will stop”.

(Until th* n*xt tim*) !!!!!!!

Gwyn-wish I had known you would walk in Dymchurch.
O.H. and I just had two days in a historical port not far away from you (sounds similar to hi but with an R) and took my dog for a visit looking at marshlands and small railways. Our task was to pick up our son from his mini tour of Callais and Paris with his chums. His chums will still camp and tour but my son has to go to work tomorrow so good old mum and dad had a south coast visit and brought him back.

Night night Bibliomaniac D and all you wordsmiths struggling with paragraphs without the awful fifth symbol that is out. I am going to watch a vid. Nothing on TV but Diana, (again), sport, (yawn), and show biz so-called stars, (boring). Joy and I will watch Ryan's Girl Offspring, (sorry but daught*r has an * in it. I am watching it for sixth occasion - so what, its a good film. Nighty Night to all of you.

Georg*,
I could spot right away that nothing at all was wrong with your paragraphs of writing that you did. Naturally all of us on GR know, that is all of us who do bibliomaniac's conundrum know, that a symbol that is not on that lady's list is missing totally from all that you did in that composition. Congratulations my amigo, or should I say pal, for all of us who do this puzzling thing are pals. I trust that you will carry on with your writings, I think its fun, although brain draining, don’t you?
