For a while after I started coming on this board I put my 'tearfulness' down to the menopause! But it wasn't that at all LOL It is the touching threads like this one! I am so pleased for both of you, I have seen Andrew's name on here quite a lot but had no idea of his search or indeed that his mum might be on here too. I have just seen your thread. Last Saturday I met my son who had been adopted..........it was 38 years since I had last seen him. It was like all my birthdays and Christmases in one go. I said it was like waiting for Christmas and Santa coming, I had 5 days notice of his visit. We emailed but didn't speak until we met face to face..photos were sent by email. It was WONDERFUL.................the contact wasn't made through GR but I would like thank everyone who has helped me over the last 5 yrs........my son will soon have a 'book' about all his family/ancestors. Good luck and have a wonderful time both of you........there is so much to talk about......and a bright future ahead. Anne |
