Did you all read my thread about aspartame? I am trying to avoid it like the plague - I have always wondered if I was poisoning myself by something I was doing or eating, but blamed the mercury from my fillings as I grind my teeth when asleep especially.
Apart from a bit of depression due to the weather, I have to say I haven't felt quite so bad since I got home from Malta and while I was there I did a bit more walking than usual, and as anyone who has visited Malta knows, the pavements aren't that easy to walk on and it is quite hilly, I did get a bit breathless on the steep bits in Valletta etc but put that down to my asthma.

Hope you start to feel a bit better, I take the little Actimel drinks and they help with the bloating and ibs a bit.

It can be the collywobbles, chronic pain or the same as a bout of food poisoning almost, wind, bloating, everyone gets different symptons but it is mainly brought on by stress I think and anxiety. Different remedies suit different people but I realise now I have had this since a teenager, used to think I was dying sometimes with the pain, and once on holiday in Cornwall, was taken to hospital by my then partner. As it was in the days of mini skirts and smock dresses, and my smock dresses were minis lol, they thought at first I was pregnant and going into labour lol I was a stick insect at the time, hard to believe I know if you have met me lol, but my bloated tummy under the smock looked just like several months gone!Would definitedly wish ibs on my worse enemy.

Ladylol Pusser Cat Report 6 Nov 2007 08:45

hi julie, i hate when different doc,s have different therioes, you stick to what you know best, i couldnt manage without the tramodol, and i know when my 4 hrs is nearly up, as for the head pain, opioids dont help, i spoke to consultant, its a antinflamatory that works like voltarol, within 20 minutes of feeling i was going to die, they kicked in and withind 3 hrs felt ok enough to sit up, i also find now eating with medication helps it makes the liver work faster breaking down the pain reliveve to work faster.
as for the duloxitine, it has lifted my mood is the most thing ive noticed thus letting me cope better with the painxxx

Ladylol Pusser Cat Report 13 Nov 2007 08:07

morning darlings, just a update on the new duloxitine, ive been on it now for 8 weeks and there is no change in the pain, but taking the 60 mg there is a remarked change in my mood, im much brighter and have less of the days where im down from the pain, i chat a litte longer and can be bothered to do things i normaly couldnt be bothered to do, i definatley recomend it , specky has to tell me to shut up now where as before he would be asking are you ok lol, had a good few days, but back to the big pain today but am i bovvered xxx
