As you say, the problem is probably caused because it is not absolutely clear what the 'yes' button when contacting someone means. I think there has been previous postings here re the ambiguity of it - maybe it should have a 'no' option, at least until a connection between the two trees is confirmed, and maybe both parties agree? Meanwhile... isn't this a good site - can spend hours here!
