Assuming you are talking about the LDS transcription of the original census then this may or not be reflected in the original. However the LDS show no interest whatsoever in correcting their mistakes, in fact they are resonably hostile to the idea. If it is an error in the original then it isn't their fault but something that will remain for posterity.
