James. Have you followed instructions on the Help/FAQS board? If the phantom addition now has a partner you will have to remove the partner first before you can delete. If there are other children that you added first they will have to be deleted before you can proceed. Good luck with this however as I had an absolute nightmare trying to correct a wrong entry. For the owners of this site, sometimes you can try everything and there seems to be no way round a problem. I eventually had to edit a name with a new entry and that saved me from deleting the whole tree.
