Marriage Certificates Easy to find a Register Office Marriage when you get the index reference, BUT not so easy when it is a church wedding. On numerous occasions when I have had to write off for them they have been returned because I DO NOT KNOW THE NAME OF THE CHURCH WHERE THE MARRIAGE TOOK PLACE, or even the area. The reason being I was not around in the 19th century!! Can anyone suggest a way round this without paying the extra £1.50 at Southport (which I object to doing)? Vera, Manchester |
