As stated by others there are mistakes on the certificates.My grandfather Alf became Albert on his marriage certificate,and how about my greatgrandfather Charles,his first wife Margaret who was 20 had a 12 year old daughter.Mind you the legal age of consent in this country prior to 1920 was 11 for a boy and 13 for a girl. regards, Will Range |
