I started this thread but am now going to add to my request as people are agreeing with me.... Would it also be possible to have the same option as the other boards and have the "new messages in ... days" option? I haven't been on the computer for nearly 2 weeks as I have family visiting and it is taking a hell of a long time to go through all these messages. I think these threads are a great idea now that I am used to them, but if you want to keep a check on a certain thread and then don't come on the PC for a few days, it's a nightmare to try and get back to find it. Could we have a sort of "marker" on certain threads that we want to keep a check on and make a separate list of them? GC - You are doing great with this site and it's good to know that you listen to the users. Keep up the good work!

Thanks Stephen, It's nice to know our ideas are listened to. I keep seeing messages that they haven't had an answer. So the more feedback the better. Jim, Gosport.

The new version in the next couple of days will have the latest posts at the top. Good idea about showing your own messages only so I'll add it to the list

Andrea, et al I have already contacted the Admin with exactly the same request, via their Contact. I have suggested they look at a Rootsweb site, for example (http://archiver.rootsweb[.]com/th/index/monmouthshire) to see how their site looks. Have a gander, yourselves. Vera B, Manchester. (I shall have to add a B to my signature now that we have another Vera on site - welcome Vera F)

I have been unable to access the boards for about 5 days - and found it very difficult to catch up with messages on both boards. A 'next' and 'previous' option might help - and if you could return to the board you were on before you read a message on a thread - and not have to start again from the beginning it might make it easier. It is so difficult to keep track of what you've read and what you haven't. The threads are getting a bit user unfriendly now - it's very difficult to find what you are looking for. perhaps page nos would help? happy hunting -and its good to be back! Rosi

Good idea Andrea, I did suggest to GC that they might keep the messages in order of latest reply, and perhaps remove messages if not active for 7 days. The lists are certainly becoming unwieldy. Jim, Gosport

I am now getting used to these thread message boards and I have to say that I think they are quite useful - now that I know what I am doing!! However.... When I post messages (which is quite often!) when I next come on to the site and I want to check the replies that people have made, I find it a pain to trail through all the messages to find mine to check the advice being given. Would it be possible to give us a separate box or option to see just the threads that we have posted so we can quickly and easily get at the replies? Some days there are loads of messages posted and to keep going through each "next 40 messages" to find the ones I have posted takes up a lot of time.
