I am surprised at the number of people that do not answer their mail even in the negative. I think this is most rude and wonder why they bother with this sort of site. |

Totally agree, and it can be very discouraging to people not even to get an acknowledgement. |

I think many people would agree with you!! It can be disheartening at times. I also find it annoying when people contact me with a potential link, I take the time to reply and I never get a reply back! I am therefore assuming they thought there wasn't a link - but a short reply to say thanks anyway wouldn't go a miss! Natalie, Surrey |

I have been posting on variuos genealogy sites for over 2 years now and can honestly say that the response from people on this site is much better than all the others. I like everyone else have had some people not reply to my e-mails and it is frustrating but the people who post on this site make it worthwhile. Use the tips board its great for new avenues of research, you never know they may reply eventually. |

I agree too. I emailed someone who i believe is my mum's cousin's daughter but haven't heard anything and she could've possibly helped me on that side of the family. But luckily i got in touch with another relative by snail mail and hey presto i've found out more than what i had. It does get frustrating. The people on this site have been such a great help and i wanna thank all those that've helped me and if ic an do anything for them i will do! Love Jess |

Yes, there has been a problem with unreceived e-mails. I only realised I hadn't been receiving e-mails when I checked the 'Your Contacts' board. There were names there of people who had contacted me, but I hadn't received e-mails from them. I would suggest that you send another e-mail, just in case. I think things are working OK now. Janet. I have been trying to find out after adding my grandfathers second marriage to my tree how to add him again for his first marriage. Does anybody know as I have been on to contact us, help etc. and sent emails but have not had a reply. Being new to computors, and looking on the web is hard enough when you have no one to guide you through. So have my missing emails turned up yet if so please help. |
