Well, I'm all for it. I'm still finding these boards v hard to follow though, might I suggest Steve takes a look at this address for some ideas? http://sourceforge.net/projects/phpbb/ One of the best things about it is email notification of new messages (although at the rate you lot post, most people will turn the option off, otherwise their inboxes will get flooded!) |

Barbara Good idea but maybe not necessary if we all put our area (home town). I have being adding my area since someone suggested it a few of weeks ago and as she was local to me I asked her a question which she was able to answer. Lynne Sale |

Heather and Lynne, I think it's a great idea adding where you are from as when you are are stuck on your own family tree it's good to help someone else,so,if Stephen is not too busy!!!perhaps we could have a local info board! What do you say? Barbara. |

hi there there is no separate board for local help but this is why we started putting our town names after our names so that if we were in the locality we may be able to help heather bournemouth |

James, I would happily take a photo of a gravestone or even a house, but I suppose you would have to get permission of the owners Barbara. |

Hi, I have only just found this section of G.C. and I have not looked at all the tips so this may have already been covered. Has anybody thought of setting up a service so that if somebody wants info or photos of something they are looking for, another member living in that area can see if they can find it for them. Perhaps you want a photo of your grandparents house or grave stone info. Somebody who lives there could go and take it for you. Its a thought. If its already available please advise. Thanks Jim Mckinney |
