Thanks Lynne. Yes, that sort of works- but I do have two other links - with different known family members - where clicking on the 'linked' sign in my tree on the name we have in common brings up their tree at that name and leads me on from there. I think that something is a bit awry - not sure what! Regards and thanks again - Rosi. PS. I have just tried again to click on the 'linked' sign in the newly established name in common - and - lo and behold I am into a new tree! Don't know why it happens now and didn't when I put in the message - but now it works , which must be good! Thankyou powers that be! Rosi. Colchester. |

Rosi I may be wrong but I don't think there is an actual link, it just shows up on your tree against the name. If I am wrong I'm sure someone else will correct me (maybe then I will 'know' why mine is the same). Lynne Sale |

This is the 2nd time I've had this problem - I've found a rellie, contacted them via 'Your Contacts', allowed them to view my tree - but then the option to establish a 'link' using the common name vanishes- never to return. We can view each others trees but we remain 'unlinked'. What am I not doing? Advice appreciated! Can anyone help? please. - Rosi. |
